Izzy POV

“Thanks Julius.” I said grabbing my backpack out of the car and slinging it across my shoulder.

“Anytime.”

Isaiah unlocked the front door but didn’t open it so I just stood there.

“Go in.” He said.

“You have to open the door for me.” I said.

He rolled his eyes. “My bad.” He opened the door and walked in then slammed it leaving me outside. I scoffed but he didn’t hear it.

“Thanks for nothing Isaiah.”

“You’re welcome.” He said jogging up the stairs.

“Dad!”

“In the kitchen!” He screamed back.

I tossed my backpack to the side and walked to the kitchen. I jumped and sat on the counter.

“How you feeling?” He asked.

“I’m fine. Isaiah took it really hard though. He’s being a jackass.”

“I bet. It’s only because he’s a mama’s boy. He doesn’t like people looking at her like that.”

“I know, but still. I don’t even see what the big deal is, we all knew about it. It was only a matter of time before everyone else found out. Right?”

“Mmm. You know your mother. She can keep things to herself for years and she doesn’t tell the media anything. They wouldn’t have found out if they didn’t do anything. But it is what it is.” He said.

“So what about you and mom?”

“What about us?”

“What’s gonna happen? Are y’all getting divorced? Is someone gonna move out? Are me and Isaiah gonna be separated?”

“I wish I could answer those questions for you; but honestly I have no idea.”

“Are you mad at her?”

“Why would I be mad?”

“Because… I mean..you married her..and she likes girls. ”

“I stopped being angry a long time ago.”

“Where is she?”

“Somewhere with Kelly I’m sure.”

“Are they at Auntie Kelly’s house?”

“I don’t know Izzy. Call and ask her.”

I rolled my eyes and got down. I walked back to the front to get my backpack and jogged up the stairs to my room.

I took out my cell phone and called my mom. As suspected she didn’t answer it. So I called Auntie Kelly. She didn’t answer either. I called Julius again.

“Hello?”

“Hey Julius. Do you know where my mom is?”

“What kind of question is that? Of course I know where she is.”

“Can you take me to her?”

“Yeah sure. I’m circling back around now.”

“Thank you.” I said before hanging up.

I walked across the hall to Isaiah’s room. “I’m about to go see mom. You coming or no?”

“No.” He said.

I shrugged my shoulders. “Whatever.”

“Close my door!” He yelled.

I kept walking. I don’t know who the hell he yelling at.
