Bey POV

I pulled up to the police station and got out of my car. One night. All I wanted was just one night that didn’t consist of any type of drama.

“Hi, I’m here for Isaiah Jerome Carter.” I said.

He handed me a few sheets. “What are these?”

“Release forms. Since this is his second time being caught with drugs, the bail is set at nine thousand dollars, also he will need to do three months of community service. Next time it could be up to one hundred thousand depending on how much he has on him, along with house arrest.”

I sighed and signed all the papers. I slid the papers over to him. “There won’t be a next time.”

He looked over the papers and stamped them. “One second.” He said. He left, I’m assuming to get my son.

He came back a few short moments later with Isaiah walking behind him. He looked scared out of his mind, as he should be.

“Do you want to explain to me why had drugs in your possession? Again?”

“Umm, no. Not really.” He said.

I took a deep breath. “We can talk about this at home. Let’s go.” If we have this conversation here I might end up behind bars and I don’t need that in my life right now.

I drove us home and the house was entirely empty. Izzy left for TAPPS this morning and Jay is still at the party.

“Go ahead.” I said opening the front door.

I slammed the door and started yelling at him like I had completely lost my mind. “Are you crazy? Why the hell do you have drugs Isaiah!? Do you want to go to jail!?”

“It’s not a big deal, it’s only just drugs. I wasn’t even using them.”

“But you were going to. Otherwise you wouldn’t have had them. Right? You know what..get out of my face before I hurt you.”

He mumbled something while walking away.

“What was that?” I asked tilting my head to the right.

“I said you ain’t my momma.”

…….he tried it.

“Isaiah, come here.”

He kept walking.

“I said come here. Now.”

“What?” He said standing in front of me.

I didn’t like how he was towering over me.

“Give me that chair.” I said pointing.

He stared at me before going to get it. He put it down in front of me and I stood on it.

I took one good look at him and slapped him across his face. He clenched his jaw and balled up his fist.

“I’m not on drugs.” He said.

I punched him in his chest. “Take all that damn base out your voice when you talk to me.”

“Stop hitting me.”

I slapped him again. “How dare you say something like that? I’ve been know you since you were 6. Who do you think put you through school and bought you all that expensive shit? You think it was your crackhead momma? You think it was your father? No. It was me always providing for you and Izzy which didn't make any damn sense since I’m not even your mother. Right? Because that’s what you just said. If you really feel that way you can get the hell up out my house.”

“It’s not even like that.”

“Matter of fact, why don’t I just take your ass back to jail?”

“You tripping.”

“Am I? Not only did you go to jail for drug possession, but you decided to disrespect me. And I’m the one that’s tripping?”

“That’s exactly what I’m saying. You’re being extra. I told you that I’m not on drugs.”

Just as I was about to slap him again the door opened.

“What’s going on?” Kelly asked.

“Kelly, no offense but this doesn’t have anything to do with you. It’s none of your business.” I said.

“Isaiah.” She said completely ignoring me.

“I went to jail again for drug possession. Yes, I had them on me but I don’t do drugs.” He said.

“Oh, please.” I said rolling my eyes.

“Go to your room. Let me talk to your mom first. She’ll come talk to you in a minute. ” She said.

“Yes ma’am.”

As soon as his door closed Kelly started interrogating me.

“What happened?”

“You heard him.” I said getting off the chair.

“No, that isn’t your disappointed face. That is your my feelings are hurt face. So what happened? Besides the drugs?”

“None of your damn business, Kelly. You’re not family. You’re my girlfriend, hardly, we’re still married for Gods sake. He’s not your son so stop acting like his mother, because you’re not. You’re just some chick that his mom is dating. He doesn’t need three moms. Just leave.”

She didn’t say anything.

“I’m serious Kelly. Get out of my house.”

“Are you serious?”

“Dead ass serious. I’m not in the mood for you.”

“Go easy on Isaiah. You should listen to his side of the story instead of just repeating yours. Your opinion isn’t the only one that matters and you’re not always right.”

“Whatever, Kelly. Bye.”

I rolled my eyes when she left.

I decided to take a shower and get some rest. I can only imagine the drama that’s gonna happen when Jay get’s home.
