These are short drabbles(not exactly 100 words, but in that ballpark) and prose, based on real things and feelings that I have posted on my insta (installmentsweird)or just made up. Enjoy!

Questions to the Universe
She stared up and wondered, "What are you thinking?"
The universe answered with a chuckle and a mischievous smile, "Just be patient. It might not make sense, but you know it would've been boring if it did... Just take in the adventure."

Rainbows
It has been stormy for a while. Most people probably thought I was referring to the weather; I guess that too. It has been exhausting and tiring, but the thing about rain is that it causes rainbows.

HeartBreak
"I've never been in a relationship."
"You are lucky because you never felt heartbreak, never had that feeling of losing touch with someone you love..."
What I never say is that I have experienced that pain before.
No, it wasn't from a lover
It was from a confidant that slowly morphed into something ugly for the sake of a bottle, a quick fix when they failed to solve their problems.
It was from someone who decided to leave my life and come back, more out of obligation than care.
It was from people who cared more about the fact I was negative than the fact I was depressed.
No, it was from people who in some respects who were closer to me than lovers...
Sometimes, I wished it was a lover...at least I could've felt the high of ecstasy before the crushing pain of withdrawal.

Slow Season
I should've been outta here already, she thought as she stares out to the empty store, the days leading up to the new year blending together. She expected to have had a research job by now, she did the work, did the apps, the networking...
But maybe, it was because she got too comfortable, so August turned to December. Or maybe she missed the mark ever so slightly. She didn't know. Or at this point, didn't care.
All she knew was that the motivation was slim and the task ever daunting.
She was supposed to fill out another app...she said this every day and nowadays she was lucky if she could get it done.
She heaved a heavy sigh. At least it was empty. She didn't have to deal with as many people, but people still sucked, especially here.
"I just hope I'm not here when it picks up again..."

It Picks Up...
Welp... the busy season is back. Broken mowers, grass bags, umbrellas, etc. are back at the returns desk. As well as ice cream cake. Another celebration for someone else leaving.
Someone who has been there a long time. Don't blame them. It was then one of the newbies interrupted my thoughts, "I wonder who is going to quit next.""Me too," I sighed. Though secretly I wished and hoped that a better opportunity was on the horizon because I was beginning to think I have overstayed my welcome.
