Sandeep's POV

I took a deep breath standing infront of the restaurant. I am still not prepared to meet her or explain things. What am I supposed to say , Im sorry Im getting engaged to Shanaya even though I like you
Or , Will you be my girlfriend and spare a dance for me at MY engagement.

This was not how I wanted our first date to be. I had planned so many things but everything was ruined when my dad announced my engagement. No , Im not scared of my dad but I respect him and his decisions. I can't call this engagement off since I dont know what Taniya feels for me
My heart broke for how happy she looked when Shanaya gave away the big news. A part of me expected her to come and ask me to cancel it. I would have canceled it without second thoughts but instead she congratulated me. That was the moment I decided to confront my feelings and ask her about hers.

So I took one more deep breath and entered the restaurant where I knew she was already seated. As I made my way towards our table , I found her in a beige dress sitting on a table looking absolutely gorgeous.

She looked up at me as if she could sense that I was here. A huge smile broke on her face as she started checking me out. I had a blue button up shirt and black jeans with a golden-silver watch. A few buttons were open near my chest region and that was where Taniya's gaze was stuck. I smirked at it before clearing my throat. She instantly looked up , her cheeks pink at being caught. I took a seat opposite to her as she brought her hand and held mine above the table. I leaned forward and she imitated my actions bringing our faces inches away from each other

"You look perfect as always" I said staring at her eyes.

"Thank you and you look cute" she replied with a smile.

"Cute? You mean hot !!" I said raising my brow.

"Nope , you look cute"

Who compliments a grown up man cute.

"Wierd" I muttered for which she laughed.

Soon the waiter arrived and gave us our menu. I ordered some Red Wine with Shrimp Pasta. She chose Garlic Bread and Alfredo Lasagna.

The waiter went away after taking our orders.

I looked up and found Taniya staring into my eyes. The silence was comfortable so I didnt dare to break it. We sat there just looking at each other until our wine arrived. I could sit like this forever but I knew that I had some explaining to do so I cleared my throat and started , "About the engagement- "

But she cut me off mid sentence and asked, "Do you love Shanaya? "

"NO"

"Do you like her? " she asked again.

"NO" I replied seriously.

"Then I dont have a problem" she said with a shrug.

I stared at her shocked. I was confused but I needed more answers.

"What do you think of me? " I asked hoping she would give me a direct answer but no, Taniya never does something that you expect.

"I think you are a boy" she replied with a sly smile.

"I mean what do you feel for me ?" I tried changing the question slightly.

"What do you want me to feel for you ?" She answered my question with another question.

"I want you to feel the same things that I feel for you" I replied trying to get her into understanding.

"What is that you feel for me ?" she asked cocking her head to a side.
