My past with Maddison

Taniya's POV

"Come on" I said leading them inside.

All of them had huge eyes with an open mouth looking at the amusement park. I remember having the same reaction when I first visited the human world.

They started choosing rides and walking up to it. My eyes was fixed on Mahi who was walking towards Uni-thriller ride. For some reason I was quite protective of her.

But then something else caught my attention. A dark green tail of a blonde woman. I recognize that figure very well as I had spent most of my teenage years with her. Maddison.

I kept my eyes on her as she hid behind a wall and peeped at me. Her eyes widened when she realized that I was already looking at her. She motioned for me to come to her and I slightly nodded my head.

I turned around and looked at my friends as everyone were already near the rides leaving me with Sandeep and Arjun.

Arjun turned towards the Ferris wheel and started walking over to it.

"Sandeep go join Arjun for the Ferris wheel, I have a small work to finish. I will be back in some time for the other rides." I said smiling.

I didn't want Arjun to feel lonely. Also I had to meet Maddison.

Sandeep nodded and swam over to Arjun.

"Carlos please stay here and take care of Mahi who is with Ara and Isa." I then requested.

"But Mallika my job is to protect you. I need to stay with you always." Carlos argued.

"I can take care of myself. Do as I say Carlos." I replied raising my voice.

I didn't mean to scold him but the only way to make him stay here was using my Queen authority. Im sorry Carlos.

"As you say Mallika." Carlos said sadly before swimming away towards Mahi.

I turned around and swam towards the entrance where Maddison was hiding at a deserted area.

"Why are you here ?" I asked as soon as she was infront of me.

She had gained some weight and had also turned paler. She had dark bags under her eyes and a sad look on her face. I hope she isn't ill.

"I missed you Tan." She said trying to hug me.

This fueled my anger. She LEFT us and now she is saying that she missed me ? Didn't she think of how much we would miss her when she decided to leave us all of a sudden ?

I pushed her away and said,"Don't do this bullshit with me."

"Tan" she said with tears in her eyes.

"Why? Why did you leave us? Why did you leave Dante !?!" I yelled.

"I didn't have a choice." She yelled back.

"What do you mean?" I asked angrily.

"I-I had no choice Tan, I couldn't stay here any longer...I had to , I had to go."she replied.

"Do you know what Dante had to go through after you left? Did you ever think of it?" I asked remembering Dante's state. He was so depressed and isolated himself from us.

"No, I didn't think of Dante or anyone else. I was selfish and all I cared about was myself." She replied.

I can't take it any longer.

I slapped her hard on the cheek and said,"This one was for hurting Dante. No one gets away easily after hurting my family."

She recovered herself and said,"I deserve it. Everything that you say and do. But please listen to me once."
