"I guess I didn't think of it in that way..." Jeremiah says, grabbing a book from a nearby table. "But that doesn't mean that he should be forgiven, he's still a murderer and should be in jail. Do you know where he is? Who broke him out of Arkham?"

"You can't change anything even if I told you, he's still going to... Jer, I need your help. I know you don't care about Jerome but I do, and if you don't help then Jerome will..."

"What are you talking about? What's going to happen to Jerome?"

"Do you know anything about a charity event that's happening soon? And what do you know about a man called Theo Galavan?"

"I don't know anything about that man, but there is an event happening later in the week."

"Ok, so I have less than a week to try and figure out how to fix this, great..."

"Ash, what's going on? What's going to happen to Jerome?"

"If I don't fix anything then Jerome will die, Theo Galavan will kill him as a publicity stunt so he can become mayor."

"Isn't that a good thing?" I look into his eyes, almost crying, thinking of how Jerome was killed.

"No, it isn't good, because Galavan is the one who broke Jerome out of Arkham. He broke them all out just for them to cause some trouble so that he can be seen as a hero when he puts an end to it." I look away from Jeremiah. "Gotham is twisted, that will never change. It's better to just get out while you still can." I look back up at him, but his appearance has completely changed, his skin is extremely pale and his hair has become darker. His eyes are an icy blue colour. I could feel the beginning of a headache as I continued staring at him. Images flashed in my mind, there were some strange generators, many explosions, and finally, some vats of acid, then my vision was filled with green as if I was in the acid. It was another vision, but what did it mean. It must have had something to do with the dream, maybe something that happened in the dream that was different from reality, or something that would have happened if I wasn't there.

Jeremiah's pov:

They just stood there, staring into nothing. I tried to get them to snap out of it, but they wouldn't. I wandered over to them, standing behind them for a second. Then, they started to fall backwards, I instantly reached out and caught them, holding them carefully within my arms. I carried them over to the sofa in the other room and lay them on it. I sat in a chair across from them, watching over them.

Ash's pov:

I woke up in the living room, which was strange as the last thing I could remember was being in his office. I sit up and find a notepad in my hand, it was full of random notes, all in my handwriting. I quickly put the notebook in my pocket, then look around the room. I could hear Jeremiah in one of the other rooms. I walked over to see what he was doing.

"Oh, Ash, you're awake, are you ok? You suddenly passed out after you started staring into space." He asked.

"I'm fine, I should be going now, I don't know what Galavan will do if I'm gone for too long..."

"So, you're saying Galavan broke you out as well? You were in Arkham? What did you do to end up in there?"

"It's a long story which I don't have time for at the moment, so I'm just going to go, I know the way through the maze already, I'll see you again soon hopefully," I said, walking out and back through the maze. I ran through the streets of Gotham once again, it was raining now. I probably should have asked Jeremiah how long I'd been passed out for...
I run into the building that Galavan had been letting us stay in.

"Ah, there you are, I thought you'd ran off and never come back, the others are out doing something at the moment, they'll be back soon. " Theo says, appearing from the corner of the room.

"How long was I gone?"

"A day, Jerome was worried but I promised him that you'd be back."

"Sorry about that, I went out into the woods, got a bit lost and a branch fell on me, when I woke up I was in the middle of a road, so I followed the road back to Gotham." I lied knowing he would most likely be unhappy if he knew I'd gone to talk to someone. I walked back to the room that I had been staying in and sat down on the bed. I opened up the notebook from earlier and started reading. The first part of it was all about the dream I'd had ages ago, as if I didn't write it down I knew I'd eventually forget it. But the second half of the book was new, it detailed visions about bombs and acid and something to do with Jeremiah.

They were both linked somehow, something that would have happened if I wasn't in the dream in the first half of the notes would lead to the second half. I read through the notes a few times, then noticed. It was the gas, that gas that Jerome had made for his brother. If I hadn't breathed it in, then Jeremiah would have. It would have driven him crazy, made him insane. That was most likely what changed his appearance, but what about the rest of the vision. I thought it all over for a second. If Jeremiah went mad, he may try to blow up Gotham using whatever those generators were, which was the first part of the vision solved, but what about the acid or chemicals. It felt like I had been drowning in them, does he fall into one of those vats of chemicals? I shut the book, I shouldn't be thinking about all this now, this was the future of Gotham, changing it could lead to many different consequences, but leaving it as it is isn't much better if it stayed the same as it was meant to be, Jerome would...
