17. Packing

I SAID I NEEDED SPACE~ CHAPTER 17:

~~Packing~~

INTRO:

The last 5 days have been non-stop, we have been packing so we can get into the house as soon as possible.

We started with Ally and Jake's house, and we have got through most of their house.

We packed all of their clothes and the kids' things and took them to the new house. We got the keys the day after we found out we could move in.

The school allowed us to keep all of the furniture so we have had to find homes for the things that we don't need.

"Billie-" I call out

"What" I hear an echoing scream from the bathroom

"I'm ordering Chinese, what do you want?" I scream and I see Ally cover her ears with her perfectly painted fingernails. I really need to lift my hygiene standards and my appearance. I look homeless compared to her.

"Whatever" she screams back

"She wants whatever," I say into the phone to Jake, who is at the local Chinese shop ordering us dinner. The last 5 days have been non-stop, we have been packing so we can get into the house as soon as possible.

We started with Ally and Jake's house, and we have got through most of their house. We packed all of their clothes and the kids' things and took them to the new house. We got the keys the day after we found out we could move in. The school allowed us to keep all of the furniture so we have had to find homes for the things that we don't need.

All of our silverware and plates and things have to stay so we have had to buy everything new, which is okay because now we know everything is clean. We also have a rough idea of what the rooms are going to look like so moving the furniture has been super easy. Although I am so lazy, my body is so dead and in so much pain I have considered going to the gym.

We have moved on to Billie's house now since that is where the majority of our things now are. I'm going to have to go to Grayson's house, my old house now to get the rest of my things. I haven't spoken to him since I saw the post he made with Anna going official with their relationship, since he has been dropping the kids off when I haven't been home.

"Okay, do we need anything else?" he asks

"Yes, boxes- we used so many for Ally's clothes that we have none"

"Hey!" Ally says and throws me a pillow "and bubble wrap" she calls out and I hear Jake repeat the list back to himself.

"Be nice kids" he replies and hangs up

I look at Ally and we laugh. We continue to box the house up and have almost everything packed or in garbage bags to go when I get a message from Grayson to confirm that he is getting the kids tomorrow, which means that I actually have to face him.

I look at his name on my phone 'Gray Baby' and my stomach burns. I change it to Grayson and throw my phone on the floor. I do not need any distractions or things that will bring me down. The kids are with our parents so we can get as much of the packing done without them as possible, but they are coming home after dinner.

Jake returns back home 30 minutes later with food, boxes and bubble wrap, and luckily because I am starving and I get hangry when I am hungry. Nobody wants to be around me then. I grab out forks and we eat off of plastic plates before one by one the kids get dropped off where they are put straight to bed.

We are moving the furniture in this house last since we are all still staying here. The 4 of us finish as much packing as we can whilst being quiet so we don't wake the kids before we retire up to bed. I fall asleep almost instantly and don't wake until I am being shaken by my 2 oldest daughters the next day.

They are hungry and no one else is awake, so I have to trudge out of bed and get up, where I notice that all of the kids beside Lola are awake and watching TV. I guess packing has us adults slumped. We eat some fruit and yogurt for breakfast before I try and somewhat successfully get them ready, but I am saved by Jake who tames the kids whilst I dig through the remaining boxes to get clothes for my 3 kids, for when they spend the night with Grayson. I pack the little bags and by that time Billie has gotten up.

We haven't heard from Micahel and he hasn't tried to contact her to speak to her or have the kids so she is really on her own. She's doing better, much better than I am. Which is good, and I am glad that she is feeling okay. She doesn't deserve a guy like Michael. Noah and Amelia are taken to school, and Ally heads to work for an emergency shift leaving Billie and me at home.

Billie says she can keep my 3 kids occupied so I can get ready. I swear I was bad before this, but never this bad at taking showers. I quickly rinse in the water and throw some dry shampoo in my hair before I pull it into a messy bun. I throw on some mum jeans and a cute striped shirt, and some long white socks, before I give the girls some crayons and paper, and throw on a movie in the background so we can finish packing.

Billie then heads up to get read and I start taping boxes together and writing on them what they are. I work silently before I hear a car pull in the driveway and when I look out I see Grayson. What I don't expect to see is Anna.

I feel a lump in my throat, and I continue what I am doing until I hear a knock on the door. I put down the tape gun and swung the door open, to see Grayson and Anna in front of me, he had his arm around her smirking and she had a lollipop in her mouth.

"Hello Avery," Grayson says curtly

"Hello Grayson" I reply and slightly nod

"I'm here to," Anna says instantly and I turn to her

"And hello to you too," I say and she smiles at me

"The kids are ready to go" I reply and Grayson grabs ahold of the door, holding it open so I usher the girls to the door and bring their bags.

"Are you going somewhere?" Anna says looking in the house

"This is none of your business, but yes, we are moving," I say to her and Grayson looks up at me from having grabbed all of the girls and their things

"I'm also going to need to get the rest of my things," I say and he nods

"Erm, of course" he replies awkwardly and Anna sneers at me

"Can you also let Micahel know?" I say and he nods heading down to his car. We have learnt that Michael is staying with Grayson.

"Can you also let Micahel know" Anna mimics at me

"Nice outfit," I say to her and she looks down at herself "interesting top" I add smiling

"Nice texta on your face" she replies and my smile drops, she smiles laughing and walks to the car.

Usually, I would walk to the car and wave goodbye to the girls, but if I do I will burst into tears right in front of them. I quickly shut the door and slide down it, crying and Billie runs down to me, she wraps her arms around me and I cry.

I seriously cannot do this.
