16. Crushes

CHAPTER 16:

INTRO:

"I just admitted I was jealous and all you can think of is Louis?" he jokes and I smile

"It won't happen again, but I just wanted to say-" he pauses and looks at me

"What?" I ask and he leans in and kisses me

"Wow," I say

As soon as my shift ends, I head up to the daycare with Billie and I pick up the kids, before heading back to Grayson and I's house, where we are going to be meeting Jake and Ally and have dinner.

We get all of the kids outside of the car and I unlock the front door, the heard of children running in, Billie helps me unload the car with all of the supplies that we are going to need, I still haven't heard from Grayson or Louis, I sent him a message earlier, but I haven't had anything since, which I hope is a good sign.

I then headed inside the house and unload everything, and I notice that there is an empty glass on the sink, which could only mean one thing Grayson is here, and my stomach flutters slightly, and I remember what he said to me earlier. I turn around at the shuffling of feet and I don't see Billie but Grayson who is rubbing a hand across his neck.

"Uh Hey," he says grinning

"Wheres Billie?" I reply unloading the bags,

"She's getting the kids set up with the drawing table," he says and we sit in silence

I continue unpacking the groceries so we can prepare the food, Grayson walks over to the counter and helps me do this, just as we are unpacking the last bag, our hand's touch, I immediately jerk mine always, and Grayson pulls back, but I know he felt it, the electric feeling. I turn my back and take a deep breath, why is Billie taking so long, I know she is deliberately doing this, I hear a car pull up in the drive-way

"I'll get that," I say and as I walk out he grabs my arm

"No wait- I just wanted to say that I am sorry about last night that was unacceptable, please forgive me," he says desperately

"Okay, but you can't do this again" I reply

"I promise, let me make it up to you," he says and I nod

"We can talk later, but I need to get the door," I say and he half nods but I can't move since he is still holding my arm

"Ugh, Grayson?" I say and motion to our conjoined arms, he realizes and drops my arm immediately

"Sorry, Avery" I smile and go into the living room

"Oh my god" I whisper to Billie opening the door

"I can't believe he apologized," she says

"I know"

"Hi guys," they say and we hug them

"I don't know Aves," Jake says and I look at Grayson who is cuddling Ava
