A Very Serious Golden Guard/Hunter x Reader

You ran from the emperor's castle, tears flying from your face. The drawbridge was conveniently lowered so you could run across it without breaking out of your dramatic breakdown scene.

When you reached the border of the castle grounds, you looked back solemnly. This could be the last time you ever see the castle...

BUt of course it wasnt.

"HALT" bellowed a voice from the highest tower. It was Belos. "You filthy criminal! You've escaped one too many times."

"So it was fine the first two times?" you yelled back.

"UH, well uhhh" he hesitated. Some indistinct whispering was heard. He must have been using a megaphone. "The first two times did not have a mental toll on anybody, but this time... THIS TIME MUST BE PUNISHED!!!"

A whole army of guards started pouring out of the castle. You yelped and started running.

Suddenly, someone grabbed you by the arm and lifted you into the air.

You gasped for air as you landed on a flying staff piloted by a girl with short dark hair and a purple cat hoodie.

"Thank you for saving me!" you said panting. "Who are you"

"im Luz Noceda!" she said. "Youre the human everyone is talking about, right?"

"How did you know? And... why are you helping me?" you asked.

She looked back to face you, revealing her round ears. "I'm one too! After the great war a few years ago, ive had to go into hiding because they banned humans from the Isles... But since youre here, we can stick together now!"

"Cool! Wait, why are they banned though?"

Luz rolled her eyes. "Emperor Belos wanted to be the quirkiest person on the Isles, so to make sure he would stay the quirkiest, he banned the rest of the humans."

"Belos is human!!!??!" What a shocking revelation. (A/N this is pure speculation, because that has neither been confirmed or denied at this point in the canon series)

"Well, he was. He supposedly became a witch through the Titan." said Luz. "Anyway, doesnt matter! Long story short, we're gonna die unless we hide. But dont worry, i know where we can go!"

You and Luz soon arrived at the Blight Manor.

"My girlfriend and her siblings live here," she told you as you walked up the steps.

"Does she not have parents?" you inquired.

"Uhhhh."

When the two of you arrived inside, a woman you assumed was the mother of the house was seen dancing on her head in a banana costume, her eyes glazed over. She seemed to be chanting some arcane latin spells to nobody in particular.

"I hope thats not your girlfriend" you said. 

"Haha no that's her mom. She and her dad seriously need a divorce, but divorce doesnt exist here I guess so instead they just put each other under weird spells." answered Luz. "Her dad usually wins."

"Huh." You followed her into another room. 

"Aaaaamity!" she yelled. Another girl with a mint green undercut came down the stairs.

"Hey Luz" she said, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Whos this?"

"This is... uh." Luz stared at you for a second. "Whats ur name home dawg"

"I'm y/n" you responded.

"Oh. Hi y/n. What brings you here?"

"Well first i got arrested by the Golden Guard and we had something like a romantic arc, but then we got chased by a doll that looked like ed sheeran and then he arrested me again? But then I ran away and then we had an angsty breakup scene? And now Im a wanted criminal I guess?"

Amity stared at you for a second. "Yeah that doesnt sound too inaccurate tbh. Anyway I guess you can crash here, my mom is under that weird spell all the time so its pretty chill lately."

"Cool" you responded like the dry bitch you are.

It was moments before disaster struck.
