Is it Real?

The next morning, Murray walked down the hallway.

He could hear Ariel crying.

When Livvy and Belle came down...

"Belle, Liv, why is Ariel so upset?" said Murray.

"What do you mean?" said Belle.

"I heard her crying in her sleep on my way down. What's happening?" said Murray.

"We had a difference of opinion about her undersea dream. She didn't think it was stupid and we did" said Livvy.

"Oh dear me" Murray sighed.

"Daddy, it's not like that. She told us she dreams of the sea. Then when we drop everything, she sings about her dream of living on land" said Belle.

"It's like she has opposite dreams" said Livvy.

"And then Livvy told her to see a doctor" said Belle.

"Livvy! That was NOT a nice thing to say" scolded Murray.

"I couldn't help it. It was like Ariel was speaking a whole different language" said Livvy.

"It's still not nice, my love" said Murray.

He went upstairs and knocked on the door.

"Come in" said Ariel through her tears.

"Ariel? Are you alright?" said Murray.

"I guess. The girls just really hurt my feelings" said Ariel.

"You confused them, lovely. And what is all this?" said Murray looking at the opened cabinet.

"It's just my sea glass collection" said Ariel.

"It's nice that you collect things, my Ariel. But I also know how active your imagination is" said Murray.

"It's not my imagination. I'm serious about this whole Slugasaurus thing. Please believe me" said Ariel.

"I do, my beautiful. But I'm sorry to say that the word from the Red Wiggle's youngest daughter will convince few others" said Murray.

"I know. It never convinced Liv and Belle" said Ariel.

"Oh, come here" said Murray opening his arms.

Ariel hugged her father.

"Daddy... I don't understand why people think all this is fake. Mr Grimsby said the prince met a mermaid and is looking for her" said Ariel.

"Ariel... Ariel. I know how you feel. But did this man say if it was a dream?" said Murray.

"No"

"Then it could have been. You don't know" said Murray.

"Oh, yes, I know, Daddy. But it sounded so serious" said Ariel.

"I understand. You'll probably meet up with this prince again today. You can ask him then. Okay?" said Murray.

"Okay" Ariel agreed.

"Good. Now come on out and have some breakfast" said Murray.

He led Ariel downstairs.
