The descent of madness always starts with a single step. Or sometime a push. Either way, it was a spiralling staircase of insanity that entrap the Hunter's hapless soul once stepped into
The first step always start in the city of Yharnam
Ritsuka hurried through the desolate streets stained with corpses. His breathing was even, but his feet was quick as he sprinted at top speed to where the sound of battle was coming from
The Gascoigne fight happened in Oedon Tomb. The man lost his sanity there. But this time he knows full well the Hunter is not one he is looking for
Simply put, everyone he met in this city has been replaced by the faces of his Servants back at Chaldea
Doctor Iosefka's role was taken by Florence Nightingale
Eileen, the Hunter of Hunters, is Hassan of Serenity
The young Yharnam Girl is Jack
They always follow a theme. A pattern. Either it is a match of personality, a real world allusion to their role, or simply his hallucination, it proves that the Dream he woke up to is different from the one he had beaten
Following this pattern and cross-referencing with the frequency at which they appeared, he is confident the one up ahead must either be someone at Chaldea whom they considered as a "Mommy" type of figure
Who is it really? Could it be Boudica? Or Raikou? That or possibly someone with a mature mindset and also happens to a female. The list of suspect is too high to make a proper evaluation of their identity
He jumped atop the ledge and leaped past the last remaining stairs. Finally the tomb of Oedon revealed itself in it's haunting glory, with the greyed out tombs, the broken railings, and the barely functioning ladders that lead straight down below, where a battle is approaching it's climax
Clang
His eyes widened as he ducked under one of the shards sent his way. It was a broken piece of twisted steel of the white color. The piece of steel embedded itself into the wall behind him with a ringing twang
Ritsuka's Hunter instinct automatically took note of the details, before moving to look at the battle again
Clang. Clang. Clang. More clashes resoudned throughout the night. The tomb was like abattlefield with it's broken and scattered tombstone, and standing on opposing sides of the cemetary are two figures
One is a topless hulking figure, his bronze skin, decorated with bulging red vein, shone under the moonlight. Within those crimson eyes of his is an underlying madness familiar to those of Hunters who have lost their way
He let out a piercing howl as he stomped the ground. The Earth splintered underneath him as the giant's figure was propelled forward toward the other Hunter
Ritsuka made to intercept the blow, but the other man had already moved out of the attack's devastating trajectory. His twin knives glint through the air in crescent flash of light, followed by blood spurting out from the giant's hulking frame
"I am the bone of my sword"
The wind carried with it the Hunter's whisper, and Ritsuka's eyes widened
