"Dear oh dear"

In the darkness, he muttered. letting out a tired sigh

"Oh how I missed this sensation...not"

Ritsuka stood alone in the wide open space of Yharnam's street, corpses littered around him. His clothe was stained with their blood, a thick, heavy sludge, that streamed down from their crevices to the ground

The carnage does not bother him as much as it used to. At least, not as much as the nightmare of the first night he'd been here, one filled with guts and blood

Casting one last emotionless gaze at the twisted horror on the dead body's face, the hunter flicked his weapon free of their blood and continued forward

In his hands, two blades gleamed in the evening sun

Kanshou and Bakuya. Twin falchion. One pearly white in color, the other an inky black that foretold of the darkness that plagued this town. Polar opposites as far as he can concern

One of Archer's numerous swords that he often used back in Chaldea. They are far more efficient at cutting down beasts than any Trick Weapons can.

"Speaking of which, I need a firearm...and some much needed Echoes strengthening"

As much as he can melee everything with pure strength, a pistol or blunderbuss is vital for when a Hunter need that much-needed parry for extra damage

He played RPG games. Of course he would know

Ritsuka sighed. He kicked the lever and watched as the ladder descended. There was a clang as the construct hit the ground, its body leading up to the floor above

On the steps is Gilbert's house, and near it, the Lantern that will lead him to the dream glowed a soft, luminescent light

As he opened his eyes, Ritsuka found himself standing before the familiar scenery of the Hunter's dream

A safe haven for those chosen by the Hunt, where one can rest and strengthen themselves. This place is a convenient destination to restock supplies and recover after particularly dangerous encounters

'Welcome home, good Hunter'

He walked to the path where the Doll usually laid. However, instead of the usual greeting there were no signs of her. In place of it, only an eerie silence greeted the startled hunter

Eyes widening, Ritsuka whirled around and look around him

It was then he noticed the lack of familiar ghastly moaning, and the mistifying creaking of wheelchair in the distance

It seems that Gerhman, too, is gone

How could this have escaped his attention? The scenery around him is definitely different from before. With the Messengers gone from sight, what remains is an empty garden that is void of presence

With no Doll, he cannot strengthen himself

With no Messengers, he cannot buy things

The former he can handle just fine, but the latter alone invalidates many of his options.

Blood Vials is now limited to those found in the streets, same as Quicksilver bullets. He can't buy anymore weapons, but it stands to reason that he can at least project those

"Just where have you gone to?"

The Doll and Gehrman. Perhaps they have moved on to another hunt, with another one like him, forever doomed to repeat the cycle
