It was another morning to Chaldea. Another day in which humanity has been rendered extinct due to the scheme of demon gods from times of old, leaving behind a tattered remnant of their organization desperately scrambling to restore the human order and fend off horrible distortion of the past in an alternate history
Yeah, it's not the best situation to wake up to. Nonetheless, he is glad to be alive
Ritsuka Fujimaru's eyelid fluttered open. Cerulean blue eyes groggily took in his surrounding, before he blinked awake
His entire body felt sore. The first thing he noticed was a distinct aching pounding from inside his head and the taste of something strange in his mouth.
He tried recalling the taste, but found himself unable to identify what it is. The coppery taste seems to be blood, but there are no bleeding in his mouth
Did he have a hangover? Surely not. There were no memories of him drinking with Shuten last night.
On the other hand, if it had been the Celtic Servants, he would have been retching up his dinner by now. So, there's no way they partied last night
After a moment of thinking, Ritsuka simply attributed it to fatigue from yesterday's workload.
It is normal to overwork oneself sometime after all. He just need some rest if that's the case
Setting himself up on the pristine white bed, the young man took a deep yawn of exhaustion. He stretched his arm high above his head, letting out a sigh of satisfaction as he did so
"Alright, me. I have a lot to do today"
It is without saying that being a Master of Chaldea is not an easy task.
There is the clearing of Singularities, and sometime they would have to restock their supply through several stray time holes to replenish their dwindling food reserve here.
At times, it could be a highly stressful job. No doubt a human would break from time to time with such a demanding occupation
Nonetheless, it is important that one does not leave the burden of today for tomorrow
He took off from bed in an almost lethargic manner. His blue eyes scanned the room arounf him, as though taking it all in the moment. Only the electric light reflected off Ritsuka's contemplative gaze
Wait, what was he doing the day before?
For the life of him, he could not remember
That string of thought soon slipped away into nothingness. Mentally mapping out his schedule for today, the Master of Chaldea took a deep breath.
"Serenity"
He called out to his roommate
His eyes looked up at the ceiling as a shadow blurred past them.
Between the gaps in the ventilation shaft, a black clad figure dropped down to a crouch
Their motion as their foot touched the floor was as silent as the wind, leaving no indication of auditory presence for the man to hear. The figure obediently bowed their head upon meeting his gaze
"Good morning, Master. "
She was a young woman of dark skin tone, dressed in a similar black attire that hugged her athletic figure. Her hair is a dark purple, and beneath them, a pair of cat-like eyes closely observe him
"What would you have of me?"
The killer's subdued tone inquire her liege
"Eh, uh, I think I'm having a headache. Can you fetch me some painkiller from the infirmary?"
