"Less talking more moving!"

"Y-you cannot be serious?" My eyes fell to the keys in Natalie's hand then to the King. Sure he didn't look like he was joking but surely he was, he had to be. He had to be joking to think that I would move from my home to live somewhere with Adrien. That's entirely ridiculous!

"I can assure you that I am very serious." The king spoke, he must take his jokes pretty far. He didn't smile or laugh but it had to be a joke. What else could it be? He couldn't have been genuine, no he couldn't have been!

"B-but I already have a home, I do not want to leave my home." I tried my best not to freak out or raise my tone as I sat there. It would surely earn me a scolding if I had.

"It's a gift, most normals would very well appreciate such gifts, and from me." The king tilted his head with a raised brow. "Do you wish to not except such a gift?" His gaze fell to the keys then to me.

I shook my head, of course not! You prudent! I wouldn't except anything from you from how you treated me and my family.

"No it's not that, it's just, my parents are home and all of my things are home and I.. don't want to leave." My tone got lower as I spoke.

"Well then, surely you are old enough to not have to be in the same household as your parents?" The king intertwined both his hands.

"Yes, I am but-"

"Well then I do not seem to understand your hesitation." He waved his hand to the key in Natalie's hand, she jiggled them, waiting for me to take.

"I understand your highness but I would rather just be at my home where-"

"Nonsense, this is the more relevant ch-" the King was surprisingly cut off.

"Father, I do not believe this is the reasonable proposal." Adrien's distant tone was heard through the thick tension. I could see the kings gaze harden as it landed on Adrien, as if he were thrown back that Adrien had dared to interrupt him.

"We are merely strangers, it isn't appropriate." The confidence in his tone died slightly as he met his Father's gaze.

I nodded slowly, being mindful of my words before my mouth parted to speak. "I have to agree." I said lowly, I really didn't want to upset the king, that is if he weren't already.

"Enough!" The King rose his powerful tone loud enough to have me and Adrien's full attention on him once again.

"You will take this home as a gift and you will be living there, together until the contract is fulfilled." The king spoke harshly.

I was taken back. What contract? I had never signed a contract. But weren't I supposed to? In every arranged marriage there was always a contract between the two weds. So why hadn't I signed one? And if I hadn't, does that mean that I could just walk from the marriage?

"What contract, if I may ask?" I finally questioned, leaning forward in my seat.

There sounded a hearty laugh from the King, "oh, right, your spouse already signed the contract for you." He fixed the cuffs of his tuxedo.

"Excuse me?" I was shook to my core, my parents signed me over? They didn't even give me the choice to sign myself over into this shameful marriage! How could they? And for them to play the victim as if they were truly sorry!

The king nodded, "Now, you may take the keys and be on your way. You can go to your home to grab anything that makes you feel at home and bring it to your new one." The king said to me.

I slowly looked up at Natalie, then down to her hand. My arms reached up to take the keys, I held them In my fist. Natalie retreated beside the king as he stood up. "You are free to join your party or head to your new home." He turned back to us before making his way from the room, Natalie followed behind him.
