The second I stepped out of the jet, the hot air washed over me as the morning sun shined down on me. I instantly felt at peace. It wasn't Sicily. But Italy has always felt like home, no matter where I was.
"Come on momma!" Aria called from in the car where everyone was waiting.
I slipped in the back, as the car drove us to the houses Chris had rented. Our car came to a stop as we all piled out. From the house opposite, a large group of people came ushering out.
"There he is!" Chris called out as he pulled Trent into a typical bro hug, patting each other on the back before stepping back from each other. "Hey you." He smiled at me, hugging me too. "Hey. Thanks for inviting us here."
He pulls back from me, smiling. "This is your breeding ground. Plus Mitch needed someone to translate his crappy pick up lines to the italian women here." He chuckled as Trent helped Aria out of the car.
"That's a bad word." She looked up at him, making him laugh harder. "My bad. I forgot you were here for a second, kiddo." Chris said as Aria smiled up at him.
"That one down the end is yours. There are five bedrooms in that one, so I hope you don't mind I've put all of you in that one." Chris said as everyone else came out to say hi.
I greeted the familiar faces I'd gotten to know very well lately. Trent had started on his music again, so they've all been coming over to help. Although most of them were from Texas anyway which is good.
Although a pair of heels tapping against the concrete pavement caught my attention. A tall blonde girl emerges out of one of the houses and I instantly feel irritated.
"Oh shit, sorry I forgot to mention that. Maddison invited her.." Chris said as the girl approached us. Of course. How could I forget she's best friends with Chris's sister?
"Trent. And Umm...Adrianna?" Demi says spitefully.
"It's Giovanna." Chris tells her and her fake face smiles at me. "Oh of course, my bad." Demi's eyes trail off to Aria who is in Trent's arms still.
"And this must be the kid you're always seen out with these days." She says to Trent. "It's sweet how you always take on someone's...baggage."
Oh if my daughter wasn't here right now, I'd have plenty to say.
"Oh, abbi pietà di me! (Oh, have mercy on me!)" I scoff out, turning my back to a clearly irritated Demi and focus on everyone else.
Giving Trent a quick kiss on the lips, I go to grab my bag but Chase picks it up for me instead. "Thanks. Let's head inside. Get this one some food!" I tickle Aria's side, making her laugh out as we all walk to the house, leaving Demi on the sidewalk.
I slam the front door shut as I watch Aria run off with Ellie. A deep sigh escapes my body as I lean my back against the door. Trent tucks a loose strand of hair behind my ear before placing a kiss on my forehead.
"I'm sorry. I didn't even think about the fact that she'd come.." he sighed too, my hand running through his hair. "It's fine. It's not your fault. I just..I really don't like her." I whine out as he chuckled lightly.
"I called shotgun on the room right at the back of the house.." he smirked down at me. "Oh yeah?" I return the smirk as he nods. "Mhmm. Opposite end of the house to Aria. And the others chose the rooms around hers. Sooo..." he trails off, his fingers dancing on the bare skin of my stomach which is revealed by the crop top I had on.
"Later, cowboy." I chuckle, patting his chest as I slip out from his frame which was trapping me between the door and his firm chest. "We have some partying to do tonight."
Ellie offered to stay in and watch Aria tonight. She doesn't really like places like nightclubs. Never has. She's quite an anxious person when it comes to big crowds. Always has been. We all offered to stay home, but she told us to go out.
So, I curled my hair and put on a light amount of makeup to let my natural, freckled face to show. I decided to wear a deep red sheer, laced bodysuit with a black tight skirt, which sat mid thigh. I paired that with a black leather jacket and some black heels before the bedroom door opened softly.
"Damn.." Trent's deep voice growled as he leaned against the doorframe. His eyes trailed over my body. And I can safely say I was doing the same. He wore a navy button up dress shirt. Although he left the top buttons open, showing the small traces of ink on his perfect chest. He tucked it into a pair of black pants and shoes, his dark hair slicked back slightly.
"Can we not just stay in tonight?" I ask chuckling as he walks over to me, his hands gripping my waist. I wrap my arms round the back of his neck as I can see him contemplate it for a moment.
"You guys ready? Cars are here!" Grace calls from down the hall, making Trent groan. "Yeah we're coming!" I call back before laughing at Trent's reaction. "Come on, cowboy."
He lets me walk out the room first, making me laugh to myself. "You're staring at my ass, aren't you?" I ask and he chuckles deeply, walking after me. "Oh yeah, I definitely am." He happily admits as we both laugh.
