Hi! So I'm sorry if I didn't get to upload anything yesterday...it's just that I went to this party which seemed to last forever and, then, the next thing I knew I was stumbling in front of my house. Haha. So...HERE'S CHAPTER SEVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chapter Seven: “I’m Thinking…I Like You.”

- Billie -

“Chelsea Rhone, where are you?” I hiss angrily as I made my way through the crowded corridors. It’s Monday again and, she promised to meet me today for our Science project.

Problem is, I haven’t seen her anywhere! I went to the places where she’d usually go, like the library, the school court yard, even the bleachers at the oval track but she’s just…nowhere to be found.

The people I’ve asked also have no idea where she could be.

I sit under a large tree that I’ve never noticed before near the football field -- yes, I searched that area as well -- and sighed heavily.

“Fuck, I give up,” I mutter to myself as my eyes dropped close.

“Darren…no! Not like that, it’s more of a…what?! I was just going to tell you that…it IS a bad idea being partners with him…” a voice could be heard from the distance. I open my eyes and turn to look at the other side of tree whose trunk I was recently lounging on.

There she is, phone in hand, her back facing me, “Excuse me?! That’s what I thought as well and now I think it’s coming back and now I don’t feel so sure anymore…help me, come on, you’re good at this…I suck at these things, okay? And Chloe won’t help either…if anything, I think she would scream it out for everyone to hear…”

I heard muffled sounds of the person’s reply through her phone and Chelsea sighed, “Fine. I’ll call you later. Bye, Darren.”

Darren?

Who the fuck is Darren?

Shit. Don’t tell me Gerard set me up with someone who has a boyfriend. “Chelsea, that you?” I ask loudly, walking closer.

She seemed flustered as she crammed her phone back into her pocket and, for good measure, didn’t say ‘hi’ or any greeting back at me.

What’s wrong with this girl?

“Are you okay?” I continue to badger until she smiled -- although fake -- and replied.

“Yeah, absolutely. I was just…a bit distracted,” at this, she shrugged nervously.

I smile but…I couldn’t hold my curiosity back, “who’s Darren?”

She looked surprised, “oh, Darren? He’s a neighbour…he studies at Westwood.”
