And, enough of my useless rambling, I present to you: Chapter Eleven! In Mikey Way's POV
Chapter Eleven: “Told You He’d Do It.”
- Mikey -
“Shh, guys! Shut the fuck up!” I whisper to the back as soon as I spotted Billie walking out from Chelsea’s apartment with Chelsea in tow. They approached the red pick-up truck that Billie parked outside, got in and, started to the direction of the bigger city.
“Told you he’d do it,” I said gleefully as we finally moved onto the main streets.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever,” Ray scoffed, kicking the back of my car seat. “HEY! This is Gerard’s,” I reprimanded him.
“Oh, Billie Joe, you’re doing such a great job, I just might salute you after this,” Tre commented as we managed to be one (significantly smaller) car apart.
I took a left as they did and slowed down a little so we are several meters far from their vehicle. I also managed to convince the guys to wear something where they wouldn’t be recognized so we are all -- kind of -- incognito.
I pulled the car to a stop at a curb as Billie’s car entered the parking lot of Italliano’s.
Frank let out a low key whistle at that.
Billie got out of the car first, followed by Chelsea, whose door he opened for. They walked slowly, avoiding the people lined up outside the restaurant, talked to the dude near the door for a bit and the guy let them in.
“Damn it, now we won’t see them!” Ray exclaimed. I shook my head, “so…do you guys want to go in as well?”
Frank rolled his eyes at me, “with these?” he tugs at his polo shirt, “no thanks.”
“Besides,” Tre piped up from beside me, “we didn’t have reservations and that’s a lot of people. Billie and Chelsea will have time to figure out who we are before we even manage to get inside.”
“Fine,” I huffed, crossing my arms.
“Aww, ickle-Mikey-kins is sad that he cannot shtalk ickle Billie-kins and his baby Chelseeeeaa,” Frank mocked. “He cannot be the good wittle bwother that Gee-bear wants,” he continued to pout.
I stuck out my tongue at him, “fuck off.”
“Real manly of you, Mikes,” Ray laughed, clapping my on the shoulder. I shrugged that off as well.
-
An hour later…
“I wanna go home,” Frank groaned as he sagged further on their seat. Even I was fighting to keep my eyes open.
“That’s it,” I snapped, unbuckling the seat belt that was still wrapped around me, “I’m going in.”
Both Tre and Ray pulled me back. “Are you insane?” Ray asked, keeping my shoulders underneath his hands. Tre was holding on to my jacket sleeve.
“Look, they’re going to come out any minute now,” Tre mumbled lowly and, soon enough, there they were, stepping out of the door, looking like they had the time of their lives.
“You know, Billie and Chelsea look good together,” Frank remarked as he observed the pair head to Billie’s pick-up truck again.
I snap the seat belt back into place and followed once more as they left the parking lot.
“Does this mean the date is over?” Tre asked warily. I shook my head as Billie rounded a corner that doesn’t go back to Chelsea’s street.
The city was nearly gone; replaced by trees and plants as we picked up speed. I’m guessing we’re going to the pier.
It took another ten minutes to get there and we had to park around the corner just to remain in hiding and unrecognized. Billie and Chelsea get out of the car and sat onto the benches overlooking the sea.
Not that they’d see much, it’s night time.
“Ooooh, here comes the sweet part,” Frank whispered gleefully as we all left the car and sat on the sidewalk, just to hear more of their conversation.
“Thanks for…everything back there, in that restaurant,” I heard Chelsea’s voice drift through the air.
Billie laughed, “It was no problem. It was definitely my choice to take you there. I’ve actually always wanted to go there as well…I’m just thinking that it’d be a bit sad if you don’t bring someone special with you when you enter that place.”
(Tre made a gagging sound).
“You flatter me…I bet you do this with your past girlfriends.”
“Yeah, to get in their pants,” Billie mentioned a matter-of-factly.
“Oh my God,” Chelsea laughed, “don’t tell me…”
“No! No, you’re different.”
“I bet you’ve said those things, too.”
“I do not!”
“Eww, ‘Billie’ and ‘flirting’ doesn’t really go together in a sentence,” I said, creasing my forehead in disgust. Ray nodded solemnly beside me.
Then, after all the laughter, Chelsea started, “Oh, I’ve also just noticed that that’s the same car that’s been following us ever since we left my apartment…”
“Shit.”
I've been updating stupid chapters lately :(( I'm so sorry. COMMENTS ARE STIL APPRECIATED :D <3
