A/N: I've seen a lot of debate and have heard a lot of comments around SJ. And whilst it's perfectly natural and understandable that everyone's opinions are their own and are perfectly entitled to them... I feel like since his dynamic has been introduced some things need to be clarified explicitly.

SJ and baby fawn's relationship is in no way considered "cheating" because many animals are largely polyamorous by nature and because there is no "fixed" dynamics between the boys and her. She's not committed to any of the boys yet and as such her dynamic with him exists beyond pack bonds (which as a thing hasn't settled between the seven fully yet). There's also several layers and types of bonds you can have within a pack and as they're not bonded (Y/N) isn't obliged to sever ties and her relationship with SJ as friends with benefits and heat partners.

Also... enduring a heat or rut alone and without the proper medication and support is excruciating and feels to their biology like a rejection... that there's no viable contender as mate to support and tend to them through it. So whilst SJ and baby fawn do NOT see each other romantically, they help ease that biological need for someone to breed or be bred by. She suffered through her last heat alone and so it was physically and emotionally safer for her to have SJ help. She also could not take suppressants because her body has eased off them and so her full heat cycle for this year (because for does it is a winterly occurrence) has to happen naturally.

The reason she didn't ask Yoongi despite them entering courtship is because it's throwing their new relationship status into something consumed by biology... it'd be a massive leap and it's likely a lot of uncertain lines would've been crossed because they don't know each other that intimately yet. The same goes for Jimin. Without negotiation none of them could help her with her heat and neither was she going to push such a big responsibility onto them when there are still tentative bonds forming.

SJ and baby fawn's relationship is complex and unique and entirely their own and a lot of it ties in with the trust and safety they've been for each other for YEARS together. There is going to be more on their relationship so please, please whilst I know not everyone loves SJ- please don't shoot him down without understanding and hate on his presence in the book.

That being said... I hope you all enjoy and continue reading Claws if this hybrid book is something you like, if you don't... no pressure and no obligation to continue. And let's see where baby fawn's journey takes us next chapter!
