Her once brilliant mind, now only used as a weapon for destruction. In the years leading to the Order's failure, she'd struck a deal with the Devil himself to survive and save all her friends. But when all else fails and there is nothing left of the once bold, bright, and beautiful Hermione, it's hard to come back once you've shaken hands with the devil.
Excerpt: "You got that? Or do I need to repeat myself?" He seethed, eyeing her up and down from a height.
Hermione fought against the tears that were welling up at the sides of her eyes
"Y-yeah. Now can you let go? You're - you're hurting me," she whispered, her voice shaking ever so slightly. Draco's eyes flashed at Hermione's words. He quickly let her hair slip between his fingers as he released her raven curls and brought his hand back to his side, hurriedly turning away from Hermione and beginning to walk away again.

Thoughts: It's pretty good actually. It was inspired by Manacled so you might see some similarities between the two but it is a completely different story! It's very refreshing but also a bit confusing. Whatever is happening to Hermione has my interest peaked and I'm excited to see where the author goes with her arc. However, I have this feeling, call it a premonition, that this story won't be a happy ending for Draco and Hermione. Or at least I'm kind of hoping it isn't. We haven't gotten into the way their relationship works but, based on what's happened now and how different the two are acting, regardless of how Hermione has been affected by dark magic. I just feel like this story shouldn't end with them together. I don't know if that should mean that one of them ends up killing the other for any number of reasons, or if one of their actions causes the death of the other. I feel that with what we have currently of the story that it would make the most sense. I think it would also be a good plot twist because most Dramione stories I've read end with a happy ending. It has a good base though and I'm excited to see where this story and author goes :)
