Synopsis: Draco Malfoy is in love with Hermione Granger. Draco Malfoy is in love with her and she is lying right there in front of him screaming in pain, and there is nothing he can do about it.
Excerpt: "Draco Malfoy fancied Hermione Granger. Did he? No. Wait- yes. Yes he did. Draco Malfoy did in fact fancy Hermione Granger- muggle born witch extraordinaire.

My thoughts: First off this is a ONE SHOT and I know that is a turn off for some so just putting it out there. Secondly, it is a bit dark, aka not a happy ending at all. It was sad to read because you can tell what is going to happen but it is a really good short read. Personally, I think it could use a little work concerning the setup because of the breaks for the flashbacks. I would have liked just a little more, I guess pathos is the word, because, although it was a good plot, it didn't hit as hard as I wanted it too because of that lack of emotional impact. But, of course the author is limited in making that mark on the reader because of it's purpose of being a one-off. Oh also, Hermione really had to draw attention to herself and Draco. Like I get it, she was trying to accept her fate and all that and reassure Draco but things could have maybe turned out differently if she just refrained from doing that one little thing. That's a big maybe, but still. Anyway, I'm just picky and this is definitely worth a read if you're looking for something short and something to feed to your melancholy. But it frustrated me a bit
