Thoughts: this is a current read for me that was recommended to me and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with this fanfic. If you like Breath Mints & Battle Scars, u will enjoy this fiction as well. It's not the same plot line at all but it has many of the similar elements discussed! It is absolutely beautiful and I love the thought the author has put into her story. I adore the plot of this story. It seems right to me that Hermione would be struggling after the war. In the books and movies, I feel that everything that happens to her is glossed over and never really addressed but, in this fanfic, we get to glimpse into Hermione's train of thought and see how much the war has affected her mentality. She was tortured brutally by Bellatrix, mutilated and maimed, forced to give up her muggle life to go on the run, gave up her childhood to fight for a war that could drastically affect her future more than others, bullied by people in the wizarding world, and treated awfully in general. It shows the effects these things had on her and I think it makes events more realistic when we see the negative effects it did have on Hermione. And I just want to mention my favorite parts are Hermione's memories of her parents. The lessons her parents taught her are so valuable and important and I like that we get to see the people who made Hermione Granger who she is. I want to say more but simply put, this is a beautiful read and so worth it. I hope you guys read it one day!
