Angelica's POV ☆ |
My alarm blared and startled me out of my sleep. I accidentally fell bum first out of my bed and onto the carpet floor.
"Shit." I groaned rubbing my bum area that hurt.

The steamy air from my shower relieved my morning stress and later stress for today.
When I came back inside from the stranger's house yesterday, I got scolded by Carma. However, after she yelled at me, we had a little self-care day. I told her about as much as I could remember, including the fact that the dude lives in the same apartment as me.
After my shower, I ate, washed my face, then brushed my teeth. Once I was ready for my first day of work, I made my way to the Shop.
Vinnie's POV ☆ |
Since I wasn't able to get laid the other day, I was a bit of a jackass.
While drawing in my sketchbook, the shops' doorbell rang, and when she walked in, I knew I was fucked.
I knew we were getting a new employee, but I wasn't there for the interview, so I didn't know who the new girl was until I saw who it was.
It was the mystery girl from the club and my house. She only left a note and dipped. When she noticed me, her eyes widened. She paused in her tracks and it took her a while to realize that she was the only one being awkward.
"Here she is!" Chloe praised with her arms out, ready for a hug.
I returned to sketching until Andrei tapped me on my shoulder asking me to help her.
"She's new, so please be nice." He begged.
I rolled my eyes and nodded, standing up and stretching.
"Vinnie, this is Angelica, Angelica this is Vinnie. Vinnie's the manager and he'll be guiding you through today!" She happily exclaimed while giving me the, be nice to her face.
Angelica's POV ☆ |
My eyes still widened as I saw my "one night stand" from 1-2 days ago. He kept eye contact with me while Chloe talked, but he seemed to be calm.
When Chloe finally handed me off to...Vinnie gave me an exhausted look before giving me my directions.
"For today just keep the shop clean. Make sure the storefront, and lobby are clean and organized. EVERYTHING has to be clean. Take the trash out, make sure all artists have stacked paper towels at their station, assist any of the artists. Tomorrow you'll be a receptionist."
He sat back down and continued to lightly sketch in his book. I nodded and found myself following his directions.
I was stunned because Vinnie acted as if we didn't know each other. Well, we don't so much...but I don't know what I was expecting.
Hours go by and while I was sweeping, I noticed he was still sketching. So, after I finished sweeping I confidently walked up to him.
Vinnie must've seen my shadow, because he stopped moving his pencil, and looked at me, confused. I just sat beside him and took a look at his sketch.
He looked at me so disgusted.
"What?" I asked him, trying to understand his reason for such rudeness.
"Just because we might've hung out doesn't mean that we'll be buddy-buddy. Especially after you stole my favorite green shirt." He closed his sketchbook and stood up, stretching.
I was kinda embarrassed. No one else heard us that I knew of, but for him to be so rude and get away with it. So instead of replying, I just scuffed and walked away, continuing to make sure everything was sanitized.
When my shift was over I said my goodbyes to Chloe and the rest, and then made my way home. I've never been so excited to clean, and I would need a drink to last me the night.
