Vinnie's POV |

Throughout all this time that Angelica and I have been able to talk to each other, she didn't talk to me that night. We began a habit of going out on our balconies but she ruined the streak and decided not to show.

Danica began looking for more attention and I would give it to her, but it became annoying very quickly. I sent her off most times but she would pop up at the shop.

As the days continued to go on, I noticed Angelica wouldn't talk to me. She would actually avoid me. So as the weeks went by, I left her alone. I couldn't stand it but I noticed it was directed towards me.

So today, I built the courage to question her about it. No jackass remarks are any jackass behavior in general. This is serious.

Angelica's POV |

That night, I didn't go out to that balcony. Nor did I any other night. I began keeping my distance from Vinnie. At work, our normal conversations with his smart-ass replies were now gone. I assume he noticed my distance and just let me be.

Although, I won't say that I like this rift between us. I actually can't stand it. Maybe I have developed feelings for him, but I had to stop and cut them. It's wrong to mess with someone that has a girlfriend.

Well today, while I was on break putting up the thanksgiving decorations, Vinnie walked up to me with a stern look on his face. "We need to talk," Vinnie gently grabbed my hand and walked me to the back room. "Vincent, w-what are you doing?" I stutter my sentence while trying to understand his reasoning right now.

He didn't answer my question. He continues to walk to the back room and closed the door behind us as he walked us BOTH inside. When he finally closed the door, his face turned from stern to worry.

"Did I do something to you?" he stood very close in front of me. His eyebrows were upturned and his jaw slightly clenched. Our eyes locked and it was like he was reading my soul. My legs almost buckled because of how close we stood. I remembered what Danica said, so I began to widen our space.

I didn't answer his question because I didn't want to lie right in his face. I knew my face probably already snitched on me, but I couldn't make it worse from my voice.

"I-I" I didn't know what to say to him. I didn't want to rad out on Danica (even though I don't like her and she doesn't like me).

"So I did do something?" He tried to figure me out. He began to rub the back of his neck and his facial expression began to fall.

"What did I do to you, Angie?" He knew I would weaken at the sound of my nickname. I no longer could look him in the eyes, instead, I looked at objects around the room. Until he stepped closer and Lifted my chin, making me look him in the eyes.

"stop it vincent," I whispered hoping I wouldn't have to say it louder. I said it as I meant it, emotionless, but I truely didn't want him to let go.

"how can you play with me like this, but you have a whole ass girlfriend?" I whispered under my breath again. He dropped my chin and stepped back, looking at me like I just asked him to eat somebody's ass crack.

"Girlfriend?" he repeated like the word was unfamiliar.

"I thought we already been through this?" He actually began to laugh before getting serious again.

"Who the fuck's my girlfriend?" His face twisted and his upper lip almost curled. His tone was serious but gentle serious.

"Vincent, don't play dumb. You and Danica aren't an item? She follows you everywhere. I'm surprised she hasn't shown up today to surprise you so you both could play kissy all day." I began to rage and throw it all onto him. I noticed my tone began to rise but I quickly lowered it after.

"Danica and I aren't-" he began trying to explain but I already began to walk out the door. I knew we were both a bit riled up, so decided to drop the conversation and continue to place the decorations up.

The rest of the afternoon I didn't see any more of Vinnie. He was occupied in the back or something because he was nowhere in sight for me to see. I cannot believe he thought about lying like that.

Chloe eventually helped me put the decorations up
and she began to boost about thanksgiving.

"We should totally go to the club this weekend before it shuts down for the holiday. You in?" she stapled the last piece of ribbon onto the wall.

I agreed and we continued to plan it out. She told me to dress as sexy and fly as I want to because we will be having a lot of fun.
