Vinnie's POV |

I crept out onto the balcony after that session. As I looked out at the less chaotic city, I spotted her. Just as I was thinking about her of course she was standing outside looking perfect.

Angelica's hair flew with the wind and her face looked so innocent. She was distracted. Her lips slightly separated and she stared out into the city.

Just when I thought there were no more tattoos, there she sat with 4-5 more. Her body was beautifully decorated with these tattoos and I was eager to hear the story behind them.

Her shorts sat perfectly on her ass and she wore a lace top. If I wasn't already occupied I would've invited her in. But I'm sure she would decline because of my attitude.

I wasn't too close to be able to detect every single design of her tattoos, but I could see the outlines of them.

My eyes looked all over but I was able to spot her wine bottle and an empty glass. She leaned down at the world underneath her, but she wasn't sober. All I could imagine was her legs lifting and her falling.

Angelica's POV |

I scoped around the area to find this voice. It was on the tip of my tongue and I wanted to verify that it was who I thought it was.

"Up here." He sounded so agitated. I followed the voice and it led me to him. The tone in the voice should've been my clue or key to who it was.

Vinnie stood there with the wind shifting his hair to the side of his face. His curls were so messy, but he looked so neat. His abs were out again and he only had dark blue basketball shorts on.

"Gosh, I knew it was you." I playfully rolled my eyes before moving closer to the railing that connected ours.

Another one of the wind's episodes blew. My locs blew and so did Vinnie's hair as our eye contact stayed locked. He fidgeted and bit his lip before saying anything.

"You're having a party by yourself, on a balcony 3 floors up?" His face has a playful smirk on it.

That's the one thing I don't understand about Vinnie. He's being so Hot and Cold with me. Like earlier when he asked me about my tattoo after we had that little altercation.

"I sure am." I nodded while looking back up at him.

"You having a party by yourself too?" I playfully teased him, winking at him.

He chuckled before looking down at the city like I was before. The view was breathtaking even though I've seen it a thousand times.

"Beautiful city, isn't it?" I looked back up at Vinnie.

Vinnie's POV |

I snickered and looked at her glossy eyes. She gave off a happy drunk from her tone, but her eyes had tears forming. Her weak smile began to fade and turn into a crisp fake smile.

I couldn't believe Angelica is about to tear it down right in front of me. I'm usually not interested in people crying, but there was something behind these tears building up. She tried to hide these tears with a fake smile, but why?

My mouth was speechless, I wanted to form words but nothing came out. Again, I'm not good with people that cry. I cannot stand being or seeing a vulnerable person, but I was curious instead of returning to my apartment.

Before her tear duct could fall down her brown cheeks, she gave a slight laugh and turned away, wiping her tear.

"Uh, anywho...awkward-" she tried to laugh her tears away, but I heard the muffled in her voice. I could feel her need to sob in somebody's arms.

The city turned cold drastically, and as we exhaled, visible carbon dioxide came out. I could see her smoke visible fading into the air, but I could sense that she had already slowly begun quietly crying.
