The following morning, Yao was tending to Arthur's scratch on his leg. It turned out that he wasn't aware of his own injuries until dawn time from where he slipped not too long ago. He ended up explaining to his old friend what had happened that was the main cause for the wound in the first place, which seemed a little amusing but obnoxious at the same time to him. To avoid hurting the servant's feelings, Yao just went along with the tale and patched up the wound. Not long after dressing it with a clean bandage, Arthur dressed himself being wary of the bandage moving or budging on his leg. Yao advised him to avoid any chores that could cause discomfort or pain to himself, which meant taking it easier than usual.

After leaving the room, he decided to return to the master's chamber to continue writing in his diary. As he was turning the pages, he came across some paragraphs in another handwriting style. This was not Arthur's writing on the pages. Arthur raised an eyebrow trying to figure out who wrote in this book and why. He ended up reading the paragraphs and they were written as follows.

Arthur, you are a clever and calm man with so much grace and kindness that maybe even you don't realise you have. I've reflected back just like you do in this book, thinking back to our very first day. Though you appeared tattered and torn up internally and externally, you were determined to build up and prove you are not a weakling. That's what I saw in your eyes. I saw a tortured soul who was not willing to die at the hands of your tormentors. That was one of many reasons why I chose you out of all the others. It also occurred to me that I saw you many years ago when I was a child. You were a little more healthier then and frightened like a stray puppy. You probably don't remember...But my mother took you to our castle to give you shelter before you were sent away unconditionally and with no explanation.

Arthur was baffled from this statement. Alfred believed that Arthur was not only familiar with his master's mother, but she brought him here as well. But even if this was true, how could Arthur not remember such a memory taking place?

He continued reading.

When I was in the forest, I just had this feeling that you were more than what you seemed to appear as. Until I know exactly who you are, Arthur. I have to find out for myself at my mom's tree. As for now, I want you to be you and please never leave my side. I wouldn't know what I'd do without you my friend.

"Friend..." Arthur whispered after finishing the paragraph. He ended up looking out to the glass doors of the balcony and stepped outside. The cold air briefly wisped on his cheek and the sun glowing against the blue and white land of the kingdom. The servant was lost in his thoughts while pondering with himself. "Was that why he was at his mother's tree? He was trying to learn more about me...?" He spoke softly. After recalling the incident from yesterday, he felt his tears well up in guilt. He believed that he disturbed his master at the wrong time which led to Alfred being frustrated at him in the first place. This he felt was inexcusable. His breath quickened, tears now pouring out in multiple parts of his eyes and he felt himself cower into a corner, unable to breath and sobbing in between.

During this time, Alfred was at the tree in deep concentration. He had been spending most of this time trying to find out some missing pieces of information that connected Arthur to everything that had happened in his life. He felt his right hand twitch with small pricks of pain in his nerves. Alfred reluctantly opened his eyes to suss the problem with his hand.

"Why is it hurting like that?" He asked in annoyance. This was when Alfred recalled that his hand only reacts in such a way if it is to do with Arthur. He decided to use a summoning spell to see what was happening to his servant right now. He called for clocks to pause time and show Arthur as he was in the present moment. The man soon saw that his own friend was cowered in a corner, sloughed in his shaky form and having an emotional breakdown, on the brink of a panic attack. The young man was in a tight spot with this. His mind urges him to run back home to help his friend calm down but his heart wants to remain and learn more from the family's ethereal tree. His stress seemed to ease when he saw his brother and his other servant rushed in to tend to the panicked man. He allowed the image to fade and resumed his search in the realm of memories, readjusting his energy to channel his life events within.
