The brothers were standing before the king, neither one are happy with what's about to be said. The king was pacing back and forth while looking unimpressed to them.

"I don't suppose you two could start explaining yourselves with this. One of you took a man we don't know into a guest room unbeknown to me and the other threw some people out of the castle. With magic too. Neither of you had let Fritz or myself know and took matters into your own hands. And Alfred, magic is not a good enough reason to be using it to send out unwanted men. It comes with responsibility and you were not being responsible as far as I'm concerned." He scolded.

Alfred sighed in response to this. "Dad, not being funny here but the two men I threw out were after the guy's head. What was I suppose to do? Run to tell you and let them cause damage to the castle and putting my brother at risk?" He asked. The king wasn't phased from this.

"I should've been notified if there was a problem and you know this Alfred. I did not raise you to be reckless for making decisions." He continued before Matthew stepped in.

"Father, with all fairness, Alfred was in a stuck place. He couldn't abandon the area as they were threatening to break the doors down. And the man was injured and unconscious at the time."

Matthew explained. The king approached his desk before leaning against the top, while still facing the boys. "This man that came in, is it someone that we know or in acquaintance with?" He asked. "Arthur knows him dad." Alfred answered. The king sighed but continued. "He's a slave then?" He asked. Alfred felt his nerves twitch from the word. "I'm not sure but based on his injuries, he could be." Matthew answered. "Arthur knew him and seemed like he was a friend from the slave deal co-" He continued but was interrupted by the King. "Enough." He spoke. "We will return him back to the sellers and-" "No." Alfred grunted. The King was confused from this suggestion. "If we give him back to the sellers, he might get attacked and won't live to be freed from that father! I don't want that to happen to him. Arthur nearly died before we got him but what are the chances for Yao to survive before he gets to be in safety?!" He yelled. The King shouted back to stand for his authority.

"That's enough Alfred! It's not an option to take him on. We do not need another servant so we must do what is right. You do not have the power yet to make these choices. As a King I have to make choices for the sake of this kingdom. Is that clear?" He spoke harshly. Alfred's eyes narrowed.

"Well, you chose to not help mom and look what happened there." He said in a cold tone before leaving the room, violently swinging the door open. Matthew was speechless as he saw his brother stomp down the hallway like a child in a tantrum phase. The King turned his attention to Matthew. The king sighed and gestured to follow him. Matthew wasted no time but exited the room to trace his brother's steps. The King and Fritz were silent for a moment. "Well that didn't go too well did it, your majesty?" He said nervously, the King took a sip from his glass and sat back into his chair. "My son is going to have to learn that life isn't straight forward. If his servant knows of this person, then we may have to do some research into this man." He said. Fritz raise an eyebrow.

"Your majesty, you just said you were going to send him ba-" "Not until I understand why he ran to us and not his family, if he still has one. I want to know him better for myself." The King interrupted to make his point clear. Fritz did not back down to this proposal and reluctantly agreed with the ruler. "I understand, your majesty."

Matthew was pacing with Alfred ahead of him who was furious with the situation. "Alfred!" Matthew called while trying to catch up. "Leave me alone, Mattie!" Alfred yelled back while stomping along before they made it Alfred's room. Both boys were in the room now with Matthew panting hard. Alfred turned to his brother stubbornly. "Matthew, you do not need to follow me around like I'm a child." He spoke in annoyance. Matthew finally caught his breath before continuing. "I know Al. He wasn't saying what you did was bad but he had a point that we don't even know much about him if he's a slave or maybe someone who used to be one a-"
