Chapter 10: Dr. Love

“Sorry I’m late,” Christine said.

“Yeah yeah just don’t let me fill in for you again,” her friend Keshia said.

“Okay okay” Christen said.

 Christine went to check on a patient that was waiting in a room then Ricky walked into the hospital for his appointment.

“Hello sir how may I help you?” Keshia asked Ricky.

“Hi I’m here to see Dr. Rhodes” Ricky said.

“Okay just a moment, you may have a seat over there” she said politely.

Ricky nodded then went to have a seat in the waiting area.

“Ricky” a nurse called out to the waiting room.

Ricky stood up and walked with the nurse to a room to wait on the doctor.

“The doctor will be with you shortly” the nurse smiled.

A few minutes later his doctor came in the room.

“Hey Ricky how ya doing?” the doctor asked as he shook hands with him.

“I’m fine just here for my yearly check up,” Ricky said.

“Okay then let’s get started, how old are you?” the doctor asked.

“I’m 24 years old sir,” he said.

“Alright” the doctor said.

The doctor went on with the rest of the questions then closed his mini laptop.

“Okay since you didn’t get this shot when you were younger I’ll give it to you now” the doctor said.

“Okay” Ricky said.

“I’ll be right back with the needle and vaccine” the doctor said then left the room.

“Nurse could you please check on the patient in room 207?” the doctor asked Keshia.

“Okay” she said.

She knocked on the door before entering.

“Hi” Keshia said.

“Hi” Ricky said.

“Okay since your getting a shot the doctor will need you to take off your shirt,” she said while looking at the papers the doctor gave her.

Ricky unbuttoned his shirt and took it off like he was told. By the time Keshia was done looking at the papers she looked up and saw him shirtless.

“Okay wow umm the doctor will be back shortly” she said then left the room.

She rushed to find Christine so she can tell her what she saw in room 207.

“Girl you won’t believe what I just saw,” she said to Christine.

“What did you see?” Christine asked while reading a patient’s information.

“I saw the patient in room 207 with his shirt off” she said as she fanned herself.

“You don’t even know the guy is married or not” Christine looked up at her friend.

“He don’t look married and he looks single” she smiled. “Girl he has a six pack and we all know not all men have six packs” she added.

“You know it’s against hospital policy to date” Christine said.

“Yeah but that’s a doctor and he’s not a doctor” she said.
