Chapter 15

Chapter 15: Guess who?

Zack looked up at me and said “I said sit down” in a calm way but was losing his patience with me.

“No I’m going back to my room” I said back.

Zack yelled “Sit your ass down!” and pointed at the other bed.

I walked back over and sat down on the bed again.

“Do you even know how mad I am at you?” Zack asked.

“No” I rolled my eyes.

“Don’t you, man you probably don’t know how stupid you were” Zack shook his head.

“I’m not stupid!” I got up and shouted.

Zack got up and yelled “Yes you are if you left four kids in a room all alone with no adult supervision then you are stupid!” all in my face.

“I’m out of here” I said as I walked away.

Zack grabbed my arm and turned me around to face him as he leaned in and kissed me. Tears fell as we kissed passionately. In between kisses Zack said “I can never be mad at you because I love you too much.”

We kissed each other like never before then I finally came to my senses and asked myself: What am I doing? I’m supposed to be mad at him not in love. I pushed Zack away and ran to my room. The kids ran to me and asked all sort of questions. I told them I was okay then we all went to bed. Morning came fast so the sunlight peeked through the curtains and woke up the kids.

“Makaylah are you up?” Kendra asked as she shook me.

“Now I am” I wiped my eyes and asked “What time is it?”

“8:30 am” Annis said.

“8:30!?” I asked in shock “Oh no everyone grab your stuff because we have to leave” I said as I grabbed my things.

We checked out of Fort Rapids and went back home where I told their parents to meet me at 8 o’clock. I rushed to get them back to their parents before drama started.

“Where were you I thought you said 8 o’clock?” the parents shouted.

“I know I’m late it’s just we overslept” I said calmly but I was also aggravated with them.

“Well next time keep your word” the parents said then took their children home.

I went inside and laid on the couch staring at the ceiling until there was a knock at the door.

“Who is it?” I asked not moving from the couch.

“It’s me girl open up” Christine said from the other side of the door.

I walked over to the door and opened it to find Christine and Ricky standing on my porch.

“What are you guys doing here?” I asked surprised to see them.

“Well we wanted to know how everything went” Ricky smiled as he walked inside my house.

“Yeah girl tell us all about it in detail” Christine smiled as she followed Ricky inside.

“Well…” I said then told them the whole story of what happened.

“Wow” Christine said with a shocked look.

“Are you okay?” Ricky asked.

“Yeah” I said as I fought back tears.

“Don’t lie” Ricky said with a serious look.
