Magic comes to Riverdale: The River's Edge and Touch of Evil

August 2017: Riverdale

It was now the first official day of Sophomore year at Riverdale High. Will woke up feeling refreshed and ready for the day. There was something nice about being back in his room. He got dressed in a nice pair of sneakers, the designer jeans Veronica got him, a form-fitting black t-shirt before putting on a simple watch and the Eye of Agamotto which quickly shrunk down due to the illusion charm. The Cloak of Levitation was hanging out in the corner before it adjusted back into a jacket and hovered over to him.

He grabbed his backpack and the jacket before heading downstairs to grab a piece of toast from the kitchen. Wong was still asleep while his mom had gone back to the hospital for her job. Lucky enough with some minor enchantments and possible...memory adjustment, she managed to get her job back in the emergency room. Will started up the supercar and drove to school, ready to start the day.

Riverdale High was busy today as the returning students and new freshmen arrived for the start of the school year. Friends and classmates that didn't see each other over the summer got reacquainted and things seemed normal but that quickly went out the window when the roar of an engine entered the parking lot. Everyone, even the teachers stopped what they were doing as they saw a silver Saleen S7 supercar drive into the parking lot. With Riverdale being a small town, it was not something you would ever expect to see. The car parked itself at the curb with everyone waiting with bated breath as to who was driving it when the door opened, and Will stepped out. He slipped on his jacket and grabbed his backpack, looking at the students who were looking at him and by the whispers he was able to pick up they were wondering who he was.

"Oh, this is going to be a good year. I can feel it." Will smiled as he locked the car and went into the building, heading to his locker to grab the books he would need and to put some stuff away.

"Hello there." Will turned to the side and saw Kevin leaning against some lockers, looking at him with intrigue. "Welcome to Riverdale High. Don't worry about being lost in a new school for your friendly school guide is here to help you however he can."

"As much fun as this would be with anyone else, I don't think that's necessary, Kevin." Will told him. "It's me, Kevin. Will."

"No..." Kevin took a few closer looks and couldn't believe the old nerd friend he saw a few months ago was now this hunk. "Is that you, Will?"

"Hang on." Will took out the fake glasses he used on Pop and put them on. He pushed up the bridge of his nose so they fit and once Kevin saw the glasses, he recognized him. "How's this?"

"Oh my god, Will." Kevin hugged him and Will hugged back. "It's good to see you. You said you were coming back and had a surprise, but I was not expecting this."

"Well, then it's a good surprise." Will put the fake glasses in his jacket pocket. He had a feeling he would need them later. "But that's not the only one as I have a gift for you, Mr. Keller."
