The next day, Will drove himself and Jughead to school and met up with Betty and Kevin at the Blue and Gold Office first thing. Kevin quickly set up a spare display board they had with everything he could remember his dad had set up.

"This is how my dad had his Jason Blossom murder board before it was trashed." Kevin told them as they looked it over. To be honest, they were hoping for another lead, but Sheriff Keller didn't know anything that they didn't.

"Any leads on who did that? Or what they were looking for?" Jughead asked.

"Nope. No fingerprints. But they stole a bunch of files, background checks, and all the video and audiotapes of police interviews." Kevin explained.

"And so, the tale gets twisted. Your book is getting good." Will said to Jughead who nodded. That's when they heard a knock on the door and Trev, Valerie's younger brother walked in.

"Hey, Betty."

"Trev, hi." Betty smiled and stood up from the desk.

"Sorry to interrupt."

"Oh, no. It's ok. We're just, uh, working on..."

"Our murder board." Jughead finished, causing Betty to internally grimace but she kept a calm exterior.

"Well, I just wanted to make sure we're still on for tomorrow?" Trev asked.

"Absolutely, it's a date." She replied as Kevin, Jughead, and Will raised eyebrows. "I mean, I'll...I'll see you there. Bye."

"Peace out. See ya." Trev left the office, leaving everyone confused.

"Now that we're friends again, I can say with confidence that the exchange I witnessed was both cringeworthy yet adorable." Will joked only for Betty to whack him on the head with a folder. "Hey, watch the hair."

"Going on a date with Trev?" Kevin asked. "Does Mama Cooper know about that?"

"Kev, I'm not on house arrest." Betty assured him but no one believed that. "Ok, she's out of town at a Women in Journalism spa retreat. Anyway, it's not a 'date' date."

"You just called it a date. You literally said, It's a date." Jughead pointed out.

"That's just my cover. Really, it's an intelligence gathering mission." Betty said.

"Oh sure. A regular intelligence gathering mission with some harmless flirting and milkshakes shared over at Pop's. You know, regular spy work." Will joked.

"I'm serious. With this case we should focus on the one thing we have access to that Sheriff Keller doesn't. The kids at Riverdale High. You know, maybe Trev knows something about Jason he didn't think was important." Betty told them.

Kevin thought the whole thing was rather funny as Will and Jughead shared some looks. "That's not a terrible idea." Jughead admitted.

"Thank you." Betty replied.
