Iris POV

I grabbed my bag with all the supplies I may need. I sneak out of the house making sure to not make any noise and I run down to the street. I wait for a little bit until a faint shadow finally appears straight ahead of me.

"Took you long enough."

"Whatever. It's not often that I get a call at 4 in the morning getting asked for help."

"Well, you are the only other reckless one in our class that I know who can help me. Plus I think we might need our quirk."

"Whatever, let's get this done with."

Bakugo and I take the bullet train to the other side of town. I sit on the train worried and trying to put on a brave face.

"How do you do it?"

"Do what?"

"Be so brave and determined even through a crisis like this. No matter how hard I try I can't even pretend to be brave right now. So how do you do it?"

"Well, it's kind of something I have always done since I was younger. I have always wanted to be the best so being determined was always my best quality. I don't know, just think of the positive outcome with this. Just so you know, we will get your sister back and kill that damn villain that took her."

"Awe, so you actually do care about others. What a surprise."

"Hey, I am only doing this so that we can kick some villain ass."

"Sure. whatever makes you sleep at night."

We arrived at the station and we headed to the forest where the van was abandoned. I walk over to it and start to look around for any clue.

"The detectives had pretty much swept this clean. There is nothing here. We need to head down that trail."

Bakugo follows behind me and we walk for a bit until we reach an opening to a gravel road. I lead Bakugo down the road and we reach an abandoned house.

"How did you know of this place? I thought the police said that these buildings are abandoned."

"They are."

"So why are we here then Strings?"

"Because this is where Mei is."

"How do you know?"

"Because we used to live here together."

"Used to?"

"Mei and I were separated our whole lives. This was our childhood home. It abandoned now which makes a great place for my father to keep some of his important business records and old supplies."

"What do you mean by that?"

"I don't really know my father. He left when I was five and took Mei with him to Canada. He runs a big business selling technology to popular companies. But he is more involved with the gang and mafia business. He uses this place as a storage place."

"Wait so your father is pretty much a mafia leader?"

"I don't know, I guess. I only know what Mei has told me for all these years. Okay, we are here."

We arrive on the porch and the door is locked.

"I got this."

"No just wait Bakugo. I got this, no using our quirk quite yet."

I stand square to the door and kick it door in one kick, and it felt good to finally kick something.

"What? I have kicked a lot of doors in my lifetime. Don't judge me."
