"I'm really really sorry for what my daughter did. She's really dumb sometimes--most of the time I mean" the pepper spray girl's mother told me as she watches me wash my face in their kitchen sink.
When the pepper spray girl realized I'm not trying to rob, rape, or harass her. She immediately helped me while repeatedly saying "sorry" to me.
She took me to their house saying that I should wash my face. I followed her because I have no choice and my eyes freaking sting.
"Mom! I'm not dumb! I panicked, okay? I'm really really sorry for pepper-spraying you" The girl said and handed me a towel
I took it and dried my face and started blinking my eyes rapidly to help flush out the chemical.
"D-Does it still stings?" The pepper spray girl asked me
I turned around to face her and her mother
She got this guilty face while looking at me.
I was a bit confused because she somehow looks very familiar. The way she pouts while giving me her sorry eyes reminds me of someone I used to play with when I was younger.
"I-It hurts a little" I said and tried to smile at her
She sighed.
"You should be careful next time sweetie. It's not right to pepper spray a stranger" she scolded her daughter who's now looking at her shoes and nodding like a little kid
Huh...adorable
"It's alright ma'am. I think I scared her. It's my fault" I said and smiled at her mother while folding the towel they gave me and placing it on their kitchen counter
Her mother shook her head telling me that it's not my fault
"We should give you a peace offering for what my daughter has done. Why don't you wait in the living room while I pack cookies for you?" She said giving me a genuine smile
I chuckled and scratched my nape
"I'm not sure if---"
"Oh C'mmon! It'll only take a minute. Sweetie, accompany your victim to the living room and apologize again while I pack him some cookies" her mother said emphasizing the word 'victim' and pulled me to stand beside her daughter
She sighed and nodded
"Okay mom"
She motioned for me to join her in their living room.
I like their house actually. It carries this welcoming ambiance that will make you comfortable
When we arrived in their living room, she turned to face me and sighed deeply.
"I apologize profusely for what I've done. I was terrified because ---this is dumb but---I felt I was going to die. I swear I should stop watching horror and crime films. Oh my goodness. I apologize profusely" she muttered, faltering
I giggled as she covered her face with her hands owing to embarrassment.
She's cute
"Hey. It's okay. I'm fine now. Luckily I did not go blind" I managed to say trying not to laugh at her expression
She drew her hands away from her face and gazed at the ground.
Silence and awkwardness filled the room.
As I looked around their living room, I spotted a couple of photo frames near their television.
"Uhm may I take a look?" I asked her pointing at the picture frames
