Chapter 16

Harry's POV:

Watching the clock ticking by. Engrossed in my own thoughts. Although they are speaking nonstop! Their mouths are moving aggressively. So maybe they are arguing about something, in which I have absolutely no interest. I hate these business meetings, specially today after the nasty heartbreak Again by one and only Mr. Zayn.

I hate this! It's like the universe is playing some sort of game with me. I feel like I have become numb lately. Not feeling anything anymore. His constant lies and manipulations has no end!

The pain and betrayal is so immense, it makes me suffocate. whenever I see his face, I get a stab in my chest. And yet because of my Darling sister! He is living and working here only, in front of my face.

Someone called me 'Mr. Styles! Mr. Styles! Are you okay? The meeting got dismissed! Thank you so much for the cooperation sir. Really appreciate it. Mr. Jeff made everything really easy for us to work with. We are starting our work from tomorrow. Thank you once again.'

I got startled by this sudden reality check and started stuttering 'ummm... Ye... Yeah! Plea... I mean.... Yeah... Pleasures are all mine! See you soon!'

And they all took their leave, that made me relief. Jeff came by my side and said 'Harry... You need to take rest bro! Go home... I'll handle the rest today. It's very late anyway.'

I looked at my watch. It was indeed very late. Meeting got stretched and now it's ten o'clock! So I said 'Thank you so much Jeff! You're a savior. Okay... so see you tomor..... '

In middle of our conversation, someone knocked the door and asked 'May I come in... Sir?'

I said with exhaustion 'Yes come in... Olivia!'

She quickly came in and started blabbering away 'Sir after this meeting, there's a party which Mr. Higgins is hosting in his house. You marked it as a must some days ago. They are one of our biggest clients. So... should I call your driver, sir?'

Jeff interjected saying 'No! He is not going anywhere! Harry... It's not important. Please... you need rest. Go home!'

I thought for a second, and realised that the business comes first. Gemma rightly said, I shouldn't mix business with personal life. So I said 'No Jeff! This is important. They're my dad's very dear friend. I have to attend this.'

'Then let me come with you!'

'No... That's not required. Thanks anyway! See you later.'

My head is throbbing and my visions are waving after so many drinks. I just came meet my friends, but they forced me to drown in alcohol, saying things like 'Chill Harry! You seem so tensed. Have a drink... You will feel better!'

'But I don't drink anymore!' I pleaded.

But they didn't listen at all. One glass after the other kept coming. And now, I can't stand anymore, so I threw my head back in the sofa at a less crowded corner of the yard by the pool and opened all the buttons of my shirt with closed eyes as I was feeling really hot. I don't know why!

After few moments, I felt some finger running through my chest up and down. I caught the hand and opened my eyes to see who it is.

I couldn't recognize the face. So I asked 'Who are you?'

'I'm jack! Mr. Handsome styles! Do you wanna have more fun?'

'Wh.. What kind of fun... Are you talking about?'

'I have a friend here who has some excellent stuff which can make you feel on the top of the world! Do you wanna try?'

'What is it?'

'It's called LSD! I can see that you are in pain. It will remove every pain from your heart and you'll feel euphoric!' He whispered this time.

'What's in it for you?'

'Nothing much! Just give me $20 and it's yours!'

I fetched some money from my pocket and threw in his hand. He grinned at me and said 'Wait here... I'm going to get it for you!'

After several minutes, he came back and gave one small tablet to me under the table. To me it looked like some kind of medicine. So I thought in my clouded mind that maybe he genuinely gave me some good thing, so I put it in my mouth.

After I took it, he vanished from there. I Looked left and right, but there was only some crowd, chatting away.

Maybe ten to fifteen minutes has passed, then it hit me. I thought my body and mind was floating in ecstasy and I'm never going to feel pain again in my life. I couldn't feel or see anything clearly, just some dancing blurry figures. Only one thing was clear in my mind. A name and that is Zayn. Am I hallucinating? As I started to see some flashes in front my eyes, his skin on my skin, we are sweating in heat of the moment, my fingertips on his fluffy lips, his hands holding me close and then suddenly came that lady's face who kissed him in front of me.

My skin was on fire now, both figuratively and literally. I quickly fished out my phone from pocket with wobbly hand and dialled his number with too much struggle as my fingers felt numb.

At first ring, he picked up and said 'Harreh! Is that really you?'

'Baby! Look what you've done to me! I lost everything! Even my senses too! Is that bitch with you now? Does she touch you like I used to do? You put me through hell! Why?!!! Can't you see what you do to me when you lie to me!'

'Baby where are you? Tell me right now!'

'Don't you dare shout on me! And I'm not your baby anymore!'

'Okay... But harreh! I beg of you.. Please tell me where are you?'

'Why? I don't want to see you anymore! Go away! I want to disappear! Oh my god! I can't feel my tongue anymore zayn! What has he given to me?' I was still talking to myself while I cut the call in middle.

Then out of nowhere, one blurry figure came into my vision. I tried to clear my eyes by blinking several times. When I could focus on his face after a hard time, I thought I knew him. So I asked 'Who are you? I think I know you!'

'Oh yes! You know me very well harry!'

His voice was vibrating in my brain. Everything started moving in front of me. All the stuff and all the familiar faces were looking too bright. And so that his who was standing in front of me. Too bright! I closed my eyes and asked again in slurry voice 'Who.... Who are.... You?'

'Daniel'
