Y/n's pov :
i failed . i can't believe it . i've never failed a mission before . and the fact that my friends were disappointed in me , it destroyed me .
i'm in my bathroom- well , me and Tom's bathroom which is connected to our shared bedroom .
believe me , i never cry or do i fail missions . i don't cry when i got hurt physically- i just curse like there's no tomorrow . but emotionally ... now that's a different story .
i hate it when i cry . i have this fucked up mentality that if i'm cry , i'm weak or a crybaby . i hate it .
i was brought out of my train of thought when i heard someone knock on the door .
"baby ? you in there ?" my favourite boy asked , concern evident in his voice . i guess that was logical , i did lock myself up in the bathroom for more than 2 hours now .
"fine , babe" i tried to sound strong but it came out as more of a choked sob .
"baby , open the door please" he begged . i could practically hear the puppy dog eyes he was giving me . ( a/n : THAT SOUNDS WEIRD BYE )
i sighed and got up . i unlocked and slowly opened the door . i stared at him with watery eyes .
he opened his arms for me and i slowly walked into his warm embrace . he hugged me so tightly , i started sobbing again .
"let it all out baby" he said , picking me up and i immediately wrapped my legs around his waist .
he walked over to the bed and sat down , making me straddle him .
i stopped sobbing after a long while . "s-sorry i got your shirt wet" i hiccuped .
Tom's pov :
"s-sorry i got your shirt wet" she hiccuped .
i smiled and kissed her head . "no worries my love" i assured .
"now" i said , cupping her face "why were you crying hmm ?" i asked as i leaned my forehead against hers . ( a/n : 🦋🦋🦋 )
Y/n's pov :
"why were you crying hmm ?" he asked as he leaned his forehead against mine , making a flutter of butterflies erupt in my stomach . ( a/n : MHM )
"b-because i-i f-failed the m-mission ... i-i probably s-sound pathetic right now" i sniffed , looking down .
he stayed quiet for a while . "nonsense , of course you don't sound pathetic . you've never dealt with failure before and i know how people being disappointed in you destroys you"
"but hey , you know what ? you did such a great job !"
"hey , look at me" he said but i still looked down .
"hey hey , look at me" i finally looked up .
"i'm very proud of you , i'm very very proud of you" he smiles .
my heart swells and i immediately snuggle into his neck . "but ... how could you be proud of me ? i failed ..."
"you tried your best didn't you ?"
i nodded .
"then that's all that matters . everyone fails sometimes love , you just need to pick yourself up again . sure other people can try to help you up , but it's useless unless you get up yourself" he said , kissing my shoulder . ( a/n : my teacher once said this to me and i still remember his words until this day )
"as someone famous once said , 'failure is the key to success'" he says .
"so don't dwell on it mkay ?" he said pulling me up to look into my eyes . ( a/n : MKAY 🦋🦋🦋 )
i nodded and kissed him sweetly . "thank you baby , for everything . you're the best boyfriend i could have ever asked for" i smiled .
"no problem darling , you're the best girlfriend i could've ever asked for . now , let's go to sleep yeah ?" he said , laying us down .
"good night baby , i love you" i said , caressing his cheek .
"good night baby and i love you too" he said , kissing my nose before we both fell asleep . ( a/n : nose kisses 🦋🦋🦋 )
