To Be Or Not To Be: A Talenny Fanfiction

Chapter 1

"Come on, I can do this!" Penny tried to encourage herself. She leaped forward and kicked a MAD agent and jumped on another. She ran forward towards the third agent holding a staff. He went into a fighting stance and tried to punch her. Penny dogged, kicked the staff out of his hand, slid across the floor, grabbed the staff, and ran for it. She had made it. All she had to do was put the staff back in its position and as she was just about to do so she was bubbled by two MAD agents.

Penny groaned as the simulation ended. She had failed the test again.

"What's my time Brain?" Penny asked. Brain smiled nervously. "Oh, I knew it!"

"Don't worry Penny," Inspector Gadget said, "I'm sure you'll pass this test in no time."

"That's just it, Uncle Gadget! If I can't do this then how would I ever pass my senior agents test?"

Just then Chief Quimby's head popped out of a cardboard box.

"Hi, there chief!"

"No time for that I'm afraid." Handing Gadget a mission ball. "We believe that MAD is going to steal all the city's water. If they do, they can control the entire city. Your mission is to stop them before they do. This message will self-destruct"

"Leave it to me Chief!" Gadget said as he handed back the mission ball. Luckily Chief Quimby threw it away in time.

With the Gadget car, they were able to make it to the city's water supply in record time.

"MAD could be anywhere! Go Go Gadget water finder." Out came a magnifying glass.

"Brain keeps an eye on Uncle Gadget. I'll go find MAD."

Talon laughed evilly as he watched the water supply being sucked out from a tube leading to a MAD aircraft.

Dr. Claw called, "Talon, where is my water!?"

"Claim down Uncle Claw everything is going according to plan."

"It better! I need the water to grow more mutant apples."

"Yeah yeah I know." Talon rolled his eyes once the call ended.

"Ah-ha!"  Penny yelled as she jumped out of her hiding spot. "Thought you might be behind this."

"Oh hey, pretty Pen."

"Oh, why does Dr. Claw always send you alone to carry out his missions?"

"Ugh, I know! It'll be so much easier to order the hench-people to do this."

Penny walked towards Talon as he complained and planted a kiss on his cheek.

"Heh, you couldn't help yourself now could you?" Talon questioned.

"No, I couldn't. I missed you." She said as she took his hand in hers. "How's your head?"

"I miss you too and I'm fine," Talon said. His injury was from their last encounter where he hit himself on the head, hard, as he escaped.

"Here," Penny handed him a flash drive. "I created a new chat room from codes I salvaged from HQ and MAD. I tested it and HQ technology can't find this but I'm not sure about MAD technology."

"I'll be careful. You are just as beautiful and you are smart."

"Of course, don't you know me?" Pennys eyes wandered off to the water tank. It was nearly drained. "Okay time to kick your butt."

"Oh, you're on!" Talon yelled as he pulled out his bubble gun. He shot rounds of the pink bubble but Penny dodged them all.

Penny called Brain using her holo screen who answered in a janitor outfit. "Get Uncle Gadget here and hurry."

Penny pulled out her holo glass, "Let's see if this thing has a reverse button."

She whipped around using her holo screen to bounce off a bubble coming her way. The bubble flew off hitting the bubble gun.

"Ugh, stupid thing!" Talon yells. "Whatever it doesn't matter, MAD wins." He said, referring to the nearly empty water tank.

Just then Inspector Gadget came bursting in hitting the MAD aircraft. It somehow went in reverse and the water in the tank was now doubling.

"Oh ugh look at that! Got to go." Talon said as he sent Penny a shy smile and flew off.

Chief Quimby appeared out of nowhere, "Great work Gadget."

"Thanks, Chief." Gadget replied.

Later when Penny got home and lay on her bed her holo screen beeped. She opened it and read the message, 'Can I make an appointment?'

Penny smiled to herself. Since the chat room was untested with MAD technology Penny and Talon use code words and phrases. Penny set it up that if anyone were to read her message it would look like she was talking to Kayla, while Talon would appear talking to hairstyles or modeling agencies.

Penny smiled and replied 'Yes.'
