I watched as the coach gave the guys one last drill to run and then released them back to the locker room to get ready to go home.

My nerves were going crazy and the butterflies in my stomach were absolutely unbearable. It was amazing how this man had me feeling, and I had just met him.

I nervously walked down bleachers and headed toward the locker room.

Once I got to the locker room I cracked the door open and yelled in.

"Are all of you men covered?!" As I didn't want to see anything I didn't have to. After my comment I earned some laughs from the guys.

"You're all good Nicole, come on in." I heard Tom say. I opened the door fully and walked in and sat down on the bench next to Tom's locker. "So, Nikki. How'd the first day go?" Tom asked, using his nickname for me.

"Pretty good, pretty good." I replied back to him.

The team did a whole variety of different drills, I guess that's why they've won so many SuperBowls.

As Tom was talking, I looked over to the exit and saw Danny leaving the locker room.

I got up from my place on the bench and left the locker room, following Danny out. He noticed me behind him and turned around with a smile on his face.

"Hey Nicole." He smiled at me.

"Um, hey Danny" I said nervously. "I'm here, just like I said I'd be!" I smiled trying to calm my self down. He just grinned at me.

That smile made me melt.

"Well, I'm glad you showed up. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think such a beautiful girl would hang around just to meet up with a guy like me."

I could not believe what I was hearing. He was the most handsome man I'd probably ever seen in my life. I would wait up for him any day!

I blushed at his comment.

"I would definitely like to get to know you better, Nicole." Danny softly said to me, taking my hand. "Would you maybe.. I don't know... Wanna get lunch some time?"

I giggled at his sudden nervousness. "I would love to get lunch with you Danny." I said to him, a soft smile spreading across his face.

"Well then, Nicole, I'm probably going to need your phone number." He smirked. I have to give him props for how smooth that was!

I gave him my phone number and he smiled again and sadly said. "Well, it's getting late so I should probably go. I'm sorry for keeping you here for so long." He said seeming genuinely sorry.

"Danny, I enjoyed every second I spent here today, meeting you made it all the more better. Don't be sorry at all!" I giggled. '"Plus Tom is my ride home."

He smiled, chuckling a bit and gave me a small hug.

We said our goodbyes and walked our separate ways.

Today was definitely an amazing day.
