Chapter 22

The next morning, I woke up and Danny wasn't by my side.

He must be out for a run or something.

I got up and took a shower, and then headed down to the kitchen. I was grabbing a bowl of cereal when Danny walked through the front door.

"Good morning sunshine." He said with a smile.

"Good morning handsome." I smiled back at him, walking over and giving him a kiss on the lips.

"Ew, you're all sweaty!" I squealed, as Danny pulled me into a hug.

I squirmed around in his arms before he finally let me out of his embrace.

"What are you going to do today?" He asked.

"Just gonna spend the day with Tom. Do sibling stuff. Talk about life. The usual you know?" I said turning around and heading to grab Danny a bottle of water.

"Ah fun, I think Jules and I are gonna do something today. Guy stuff probably."

"Oh that sounds like tons of fun..Guy stuff." I chuckled, throwing him a water bottle, which he caught with ease.

"You wouldn't understand. You're a girl." Danny winked at me, to which I scoffed in reply.

"Yeah yeah yeah." I rolled my eyes at him. "You should probably go shower, you smell pretty bad."

"You're probably right." Danny said as he got up and started toward the bathroom.

"Oh wait!" I yelled, startling Danny, and making him turn around.

"Yes my dear?" He asked

"Tom's going to be here soon, so just in case I leave before you're done showering. Bye, I love you, and I'll text you." I said as I gave him a goodbye kiss.

"See you later, I love you too." He kissed me back, and headed up to his shower.

I knew Tom was going to show up really soon, so I quickly made Danny a protein shake, because I knew he hadn't eaten breakfast yet.

Once I was done, I cut up a couple fruits and put them in a bowl, and wrote Danny a note.

'I figured you hadn't eaten yet, so I made some food for you. Have fun with Julian today. (: love youu

Just as I finished my note to Danny, I got a text from Tom saying that he was here to pick me up.

I grabbed my coat and headed out the door to his car.

"Hey Tom." I greeted.

"Hey Nicole." Tom replied back.

"Whatcha wanna do today?" I asked

"Not sure, maybe we could go for a walk around Foxboro, maybe go to the park?" Tom suggested

"That's an awesome idea, Tom. Let's go!" I smiled as we made our way to Foxboro to start our day together.

Tom and I went for a nice walk around the park, and talked a little. Then we decided to continue our festivities and do something else. Next we went to Patriot Place and walked around some more, and Tom talked to some fans.

Next we went to the mall and did a little shopping, picked out some nice new clothes for each other. That's another great thing about Tom, he has a great fashion sense and can always help me pick out clothes!

After a while of shopping, we went and saw a movie in the theater for a change, and Tom even ate some movie theater popcorn!

After our movie, it was about 3 in the afternoon. Tom and I decided to take a break for lunch.

"Where should we head to for lunch?" Tom asked.

"Oh, I don't know, surprise me!"

"Alright, I'll surprise you then!" Tom chuckled as he drove to his restaurant of choice.

Once we arrived at Toms favorite little family diner, we sat down and started to talk some more.

"I had fun today." I smiled at him from across the table.

"Yeah, me too. It was awesome." He replied back with a smile.

"I wish we had more time to have days like this. It's just I feel like whenever I want to spend a night in with you, you never want to spend time with me anymore." I sighed.

Tom just looked at me.

"Well, Nicole. I have friends and a girlfriend I would like to spend time with too." He said, getting kind of defensive.

"Hey, no need to get defensive. I'm just saying, whenever I have time to spend with you now you always seem to not want to have anything to do with me." I replied, becoming unhappy.

Tom scoffed at me, and mumbled something under his breath.

"What was that?" I questioned.

"Oh nothing, I was just saying that maybe if you didn't spend so much time with your boyfriend, Amendola, you could spend more time at the house with me."

"Hey now, don't try that with me cause whenever I call you up you're always with your girlfriend so this goes both ways ." I raised my voice a little, defending myself.

"Obviously I like spending time with my girlfriend Nicole-"

I cut him off,

"And I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend."

"Now you didn't let me finish." He started again. "I enjoy spending time with her yes, and I see a future with her of course, she's awesome, but the only reason I have been spending so much time with her lately is because you're always with Danny, and I'm lonely, and jealous my own teammate is pulling my own sister away from me." He finished, with his lips sealed in a tight line.

"Well I'm sorry you feel that way, how should we work this out?" I asked, trying to calm the tension and try and find a way to split my time equally.

"Well, you could break up with Amendola."
