Morning came, and I was ready to head to the stadium with Tom and see all the guys again. I've only known them for a short amount of time, but they have become really great friends and I love seeing them everyday, especially this one player who wears the number 80 on his back.
As I walked down the stairs I heard Tom in the kitchen making breakfast.
"Hey Tommy!" I said cheerily as I walked into the kitchen.
"Well hey, Nikki. Good morning." He said with a smile as he continued flipping pancakes.
"Breakfast smells sooooooo good Tom!" I said as he handed me a plate of pancakes and eggs.
"Well thanks, I know pancakes are your favorite." He smiled, soon his smile fell a little. "Nicole, I'm sorry for getting mad at you last night.." He trailed off. " I guess it's just I want you to stay safe, I love you you know?" He said and I smiled.
"Oh, Tom. It ok! I totally understand why you feel this way, but I'm 19. You got to give me some freedom, and trust me just a little bit!" I said munching on the pancakes.
"I know, Nikki. I do trust you, you're an amazing girl and so strong. Just be careful and if anything happens you know I'm always here for you." Tom said with a smile. I was glad he realized he could trust me, and I felt so blessed he is so worried about me, even though he can be overbearing sometimes.
"Thank you so much Tom. You know I love you too."
"Well, we better be off to the stadium, don't want to be late!" He said handing me a mug full of my favorite "coffee" hot chocolate to be exact. He knows me so well.
"Well then let's get going!" I said grabbing the mug from him and hopping in his car. Anxiously awaiting the day to come.
