"Charmaine! Charmaine!" This guy is calling my name since I left that room at nakakainis na.
"What is it?" Finally, I faced him.
"You accepted the mission...?" He asked as if he is worried.
"Yeah... after all... it's about my brother's death." I sighed.
"Your brother died in his school... what is your plan?" He asked.
"You know Zane... ano bang pake mo? And you have a mission too, right? Mind your own business." I rolled my eyes tapos umalis na doon.
Akala ko tatahimik na ang mundo ko kaso lang nakasunod pala siya sa akin.
"What's your plan? Hindi kita titigilan."
"I'll enroll in that school okay?! Tapos I'll investigate! Gather informations and collect evidences!" Inis na sabi ko.
"Eh paano kung mahuli ka?" Daming tanong.
"Me? All of my missions- assassination missions are all successful." Sabi ko.
"I mean, your brother is a great assassin, tapos may nakapatay sa kanya. Meaning, malakas ang magiging kalaban mo." He explained.
"I don't know? Why are you even asking me?"
"Oh, jeez..." I heard him sigh.
Naglakad kami sa hallway nang hindi nag-uusap.
"Aren't you scared?" Tanong niya bigla.
"Bakit?" I asked.
"Everytime you kill someone... hindi ka ba natatakot?" He asked.
"Masamang tao naman ang mga pinapatay natin, not innocent people. And I can feel guilt but not fear." Sagot ko.
While walking down the hallway, nakasalubong namin si Sean. Drake's member and schoolmate ni kuya.
"Hey, uhm Sean..." Lumapit ako sa kanya.
"Uhh yes?"
"I just want to ask you something, some informations." I said.
"Sure... what is it?"
"You went to the same school as kuya when he was in college right?" I asked.
"Oo," he answered.
"May nakaaway ba siya doon?" Tanong ko.
Yes, nakaaway. Imposibleng assassin from other groups ang pumatay kay kuya kase based on the information na ibinigay sa akin, nandoon pa sa school na 'yun ang pumatay sa kanya. Kung assassin ang pumatay kay kuya, at mission niya lang 'yun, aalis siya sa school na 'yun pagkatapos niyang patayin si kuya, but he didn't.
"Marami-rami rin." Sagot niya. "Pero 'yung nakaaway talaga niya... Matt, Matt Castillo. Fourth year na 'yun ngayon." Sagot niya.
"Why?" I asked.
"I don't really know the reason why, pero maraming ibang nakakaalam doon sa school. Hindi na ako naki-chismis doon kase busy ako nung panahon na nag-aaway sila, panahon ng thesis namin." Kahit kailan naman talaga 'to. "Pero ang alam ko nag-umpisa lang talaga sila sa simpleng away. Hanggang sa naggantihan na nang naggantihan. Though hindi naman ganun kabobo si Chase para gawin niya 'yun."
I know.
"I see, okay." I said. "Thanks."
Umalis ako doon tapos sumunod si Zane sa akin.
"Ms. Charmaine." Tawag sa akin nung lalaking nakasalubong ko.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Pinapatawag ka ni sir Brone. May pag-uusapan daw ang mga Reapers." Sabi niya.
"Okay, papunta na." Agad siyang umalis pagkatapos kong sabihin 'yun.
"Guess aalis na 'ko." Sabi ni Zane sa akin.
"Okay, bye." Sabi ko.
After that umalis na siya kaya mag-isa akong naglalakad ngayon.
Pagdating ko doon sa office ni sir Brone, binuksan ko 'yung pinto, wala nang katok-katok duh.
"There she is," sabi ni sir Brone.
Ako na lang pala kulang eh.
"What's up?" Tanong ko at umupo sa upuan sa gilid.
"So, you all know Death, right? Our enemy group." He started.
"'Di ba doon galing 'yung mga pinatay nung ilan sa members ko?" Tanong ko.
"Exactly, because of that, they announced war against us, a silent war, since the government doesn't know anything about us- well, some of them know about us because they sometimes hire us. Kailangan niyong mag-ingat, hindi natin alam kung kailan sila aatake. Especially you and your team Charmaine." Tumingin siya sa akin. "And we will discuss the plans kung bigla silang aatake."
"How about the missions?"
"We will cancel all of that." Sir Brone answered.
"No we can't cancel those!" I protested.
"Why?" Kuya Alwin asked.
"Well we cannot just ignore kuya's death, can we?" Lumapit ako doon.
Binasa ko 'yung reports.
"Hindi nila alam ang hideout natin." I said.
"What about it?" Drake asked.
"And someone from Death found it. It says here na nahanap tayo dahil sinusundan nila mga members natin kapag babalik na sila dito. Simple but troublesome way." Sabi ko. "Goodness whose members are these? Bakit hindi marunong magtago?"
"Just shut up and get straight to the point." Trent said.
"I just want to say, kapag nasa mission tayo hindi agad tayo bumabalik sa base, hindi nila tayo masusundan, simple as that." I answered.
"Paano kung aatakihin tayo kapag mag-isa tayo?" Tanong ni kuya Alwin.
"Wow, is Alwin Haide scared?" I asked.
"I'm serious Charmaine." Sabi niya.
"Okay, first. Does anyone agree with me?" Tanong ko.
"Medyo labag sa kalooban ko but I do." Drake said.
"Yeah, same." Sabi naman ni Trent.
"To be honest, I don't really like your plans, all of-."
Natigilan siya sa pagsasalita nang itutok ko sa kanya 'yung baril ko.
"There she goes again." Sabi ni Kuya Alwin.
"Matagal ka nang Reaper-ranked pero bago ka sa group na ito, right?" Tanong ko kay Elon.
"Yes," sagot niya.
"I'm sorry about this, ginagawa ko lang talaga ito sa mga bago sa group." Sabi ko at binaba 'yung baril.
"I know," sabi niya.
"By the way, welcome to hell..."
