Beck's POV
"Damn. Chill, baby," I said, teasing her. I let out a chuckle and I can see her on my peripheral version, giving me a glare. If eyes could kill, I'd be dead by now.
I focused on the road and turned on some music to lessen her grumpiness.
As I drive, I can't help but give her small glances.
She looks so gorgeous. I smiled at that thought of mine.
Jade's POV
The drive would be silent if there'd be no music from the radio. Beck and I arrived outside the venue 30 minutes later. It was a fancy hotel.
Beck opened the car door for me and offered his hand. I took it as I exited the car. I faked a smile at him; he just let out a smirk. There was a red carpet and we walk onto it with our hands intertwined.
A grand entrance huh. Paparazzi were everywhere too. We finally got inside. It was an elegant, enormous hall with a stage at the front, delicately decorated tables, and a buffet. It looks sophisticated but it wasn't too much for the eyes which I truly adore.
Not even a minute later, we immediately saw Tori, Andre, Robbie, and Trina. Cat is wearing a black long sleeve bodycon dress and Tori is wearing a blue glittery fitted black dress, Trina is in a black women suit, Robbie and Andre are both wearing black and white suits. I wasn't informed the theme was black and white. Good thing I always wear black.
Cat approached me and gave me a tight hug. I jokingly pulled away immediately and looked at her with disgust.
"Come on, don't you miss me?" She says with a sad face.
"I do miss you. Not that much tho." I said. I gave all of my friends a little hug except for Tori.
I raised my eyebrows and asked in a menacing tone, "How's life now, Tori Vega?"
"Oopsie," "And here we go again," I heard Robbie and Andre whispered respectively.
"I'm doing...great," she smiles awkwardly, which made me grin. I extended my arms for her and we hugged. Though, it didn't last for 5 seconds because I still do hate affection.
After graduating, Tori and I got along a little bit. I realized that she's not that bad. And Trina, I heard she's become less annoying. I might consider them as one of my friends now.
"Jade, damn, you look pretty," Andre says to me, which made everyone glance weirdly at him.
"...why? I'm just giving my good 'ol friend a comlipent," he adds. I chuckled and gave him a small "thank you."
The boys were having a conversation and so did we, girls. We talked about random stuff, Trina giving birth, our careers, everything that's going on with our lives. Just a little catching up, you know.
A few minutes have passed and our batchmates began occupying the venue. Beck and I sat beside each other. Beck was staring at me so I gave him a questioning look but he didn't say anything.
Many of our batchmates were approaching us, especially Cat because she was the friendliest one. People were taking pictures and talking to us until the food was served, which was a relief because I'm not interactive at all especially to those I am not really close to.
A familiar face approached our table, a man with an uncanny fashion style and a camera pointing at us.
"SIKOWITZ!" we all said excitedly. Wow, his hair never grew.
"Drive-by acting challenge, you guys are high schoolers practicing for a stage play, in 3, 2, 1!" he says.
We all chuckled.
"Come on. I'm serious!" Sikowitz insisted.
"We already graduated from that," Andre said. Sikowitz put his camera down and acted upset. We all laughed again.
"Have a seat, Sikowitz," Tori said while tapping the vacant seat beside her.
"I missed you, my students," Sikowitz says.
We pretended to be busy and tease him. Cat was murmuring a song, Tori and Trina were looking at their phones, Andre, Robbie, and Beck were uttering random stuff, and I was looking at my nails.
"I guess I should just leave," he says but no one objected. "I'm standing up now. I'm LEAVING," he faked a sigh. Here come his tactic again.
Cat chuckled and said, "We missed you too, Sikowitz."
"YOU missed him." I jokingly said and everyone was like "Yah."
"Oh, Jade. You never broke character," I heard him say and I let out a small grin. I know, I'm the best.
We continued eating and talked about our high school days. And earlier, they were attacking me. Was I that mean back then? Well, I'm still mean though and I'm not sorry.
"You were very self-centered," Tori says.
"Who else am I supposed to be centered on?" I responded.
"Yeah, you have a point."
"Remember when all wore cute pajamas and we were supposed to perform in a parade but our cupcake float broke down in the middle of not Sesame Street!" Cat said delightfully.
"We looked like idiots," Andre said.
"The policemen thought I was insane when I was explaining our situation so they handcuffed me," Sikowitz said. Wait, Isn't he insane for real?
"Yeah, and It's all Catarina Valentine's fault," I said.
"Remember when we were imprisoned?" Beck said.
"Yes, at that country, Yerba," Robbie answered.
"Oh my God, do not even remind me of that moment," Tori added.
"And Andre was bitten by a vampire moth," Trina joined.
"Yeah, that insect did a number on me," Andre said, looking frustrated.
"Tori was supposed to be the only one detained but Robbie...killed the president's dumb octopus," I said as I glare at Robbie.
"It was an accident, okay!" He defended himself.
He then adds, "And can we not talk about those times? I'm feeling nostalgic and It's making me cry!"
"Whatever," I returned.
We reminisced the good old days and also continued conversing about our present lives.
