Chapter 13

Author's POV

Beck and Jade held hands as they approach the dining table, earning their friends' attention. He pulls a chair for Jade first before sitting beside her.

It's eight o'clock in the morning. The friend group is gathering for breakfast. It's their last day to do activities in Hawaii since they're leaving tomorrow in the afternoon.

Tori and Cat are giving each other a mischievous look.

"Saw that?" Cat whispers to Tori.

"Yup, I did."

"Isn't too early to gossip about me?" Jade barges in their conversation.

"We weren't gossiping about you," Tori says.

"Yeah, we were gossiping about you and Beck."

"Cat!?" Tori tells her. 

"Girls, do you guys want to go to the gym with me?" Trina asks.

"Sure!" Cat and Tori said.

"My body is sore," Jade says which, alarms Cat and Tori's buzz again.

"Ooooh. Wonder what happened." Cat replies.

"...from the hangover." Jade gives her a sarcastic smile.

"Are we guys eating or what?" Andre questions.

"Yeah! Let's eat now." Jade says.

Beck puts bacon and frittata on Jade's plate and hands her a glass of coffee.

"Quit it. I'm not a baby," Jade whispers in his ear.

"No. I miss doing this. You want crepes?"

Jade looks like she doesn't like her partner's over-flowing sweetness but the butterflies in her stomach completely contradict. She misses that feeling which is difficult for her to deny.

While they eat, Andre inaugurates a conversation about their plans for the day.

"So, how do we spend our last precious day in Hawaii?"

"I don't know. I ran out of ideas," Tori says.

"My friend contacted me. He heard we're here in Hawaii. He offered to let me borrow his yacht. We could have a little trip in the ocean. And it's massive. We can party there." Andre says while showing a picture of his friend's yacht.

"The last time we rode a boat, Jade had severe seasickness. So, we might have to pass on that," Beck says.

"No, no. It's fine. We'll go," Jade differs and Becks furrows his eyebrows at her.

"I can just take antiemetics," She assures them.

"But, you won't drink," Beck says to her but takes it back after.

"Okay. A few drinks only."

"So, later?" Andre waits for their approval.

"Hmmm. Let's dress up something classy," Trina suggests.

"All right!" They all said enthusiastically.

After eating breakfast, the girls, except for Jade, proceed to the resort's gym which, isn't far from their villas. But a few moments later, she arrives in her gym attire.

"I thought you couldn't come?" Cat asks Jade as she uses the treadmill beside her.

"I thought your body was sore?" Tori, who's next to Cat, adds.
