Time didn't feel real. Everything was going incredibly slow. You were back at the burrow, you and George wanted to be close to your family, especially leading up to the funeral. You had gone home to you and George's apartment to pick up a few things and take care of some business. You came back two days later.
"How are you, y/n?" Bill asked as you came in through the door. You shrugged.
"It is like something is missing." You explained.
"I think we all feel that at the moment." Ginny said, and you nodded in agreement.

You looked around expecting George to be with the others in the living room, but he was no where to be seen.
"He hasn't left his room since you left." Molly said, and you stopped looking around.
"I get it." You said and headed towards the stairs. You stood for a moment outside the door scared of what was on the other side.

You knocked, but didn't wait for a respond before you entered. You entered and saw George laying on Fred's bed with his back towards you.
"I am not hungry mom." He said without looking back.
"Last I checked you never let me get away with that excuse." You joked trying to lighten the mood, and George suddenly looked around to see you.
"I didn't expect you to be back already." He grumbled as you slowly walked towards him and laid behind him with your arms around him.
"Obviously." You said once again trying to lighten the mood.

It didn't really work, and maybe just made the situation a bit worse.
"Y/n I really don't want to talk." George said, breaking the silence.
"Who said we had to talk?" You answered just holding him tight, making sure he knew you were there for him.
"You know I love you, right?" George mumbled turning around hiding his head in the crook of your neck.
"You might have mentioned it before." You joked, and this time you could feel George smile a bit into your neck.
"You deserve more than this." He said bringing the mood down again.
  "So do you." You added.

He sat up and you both sat on the edge of the bed looking at each other in the eyes.
"You deserve a man who actually can leave his room, and give you a beautiful wedding." George said a tear rolling down his cheek.
"I will get my wedding one day." You said with a smile brushing the tear away from his cheek. You fell asleep that night in Fred's bed cuddling closely into George.

You and George walked down into the kitchen together for breakfast the next morning.
"Will you guys get Fred?" Molly said, and immediately stopped as she realised what she had just said. She fell to the floor sobbing, and like that you all grieved together.
