Fenrir was walking down the stairs when he felt an uneasy feeling come over him. He peered over his shoulder back up the stairs. He tilted his head to the side, debating whether or not to check up on Hermione when a tiny voice caught his attention. 

"Daddy! Daddy!" He turned his head to see Leo running towards him. Fenrir smiled as he bend down with his arms wide opened. His son ran right into his arms, wrapping his arms around Fenrir's neck, as Fenrir hugged his son. He still couldn't believe he was finally a father since it was one of the things he always wanted alongside having a pack. Fenrir let Leo go as he stood up in time to see Scabior walking in, lightly panting. 

"Boy, does Leo here have energy. I swear he outran even our fastest members." Scabior commented to him. Fenrir laughed before he messed with Leo's hair. 

"It's good to hear. He'll be a great hunter and Alpha someday." Fenrir claimed. Scabior rolled his eyes. 

"Unless Artemis wins the position," Scabior told him. Fenrir scoffed. 

"The little runt upstairs that is stopping me from making love with my mate?" Fenrir asked. Scabior faked a laughed, rolling his eyes, and was about to say something when a loud crying came from upstairs, causing them to look up. 

"Looks like Artemis is being fussy this morning. I better go check..." Scabior started when a loud crashing sound caused their hairs to stand on end. Fenrir quickly picked up Leo and handed him over to one of the beta's mate, Betsy. 

"Watch him, Betsy!" Fenrir ordered before running upstairs with Scabior. They burst through the doors of their bedrooms. Fenrir's eyes widened when he saw the upturned desk by the window, the stuff from the desk splattered across the floor. Artemis was in her crib, crying her eyes out, while flinging her arms around. 

"Hermione! Hermione! Where are you?" Fenrir called out as he went searching the entire room. Once he saw she was gone, he returned to the bedroom to see Scabior holding Artemis, trying to calm her down. 

"Who the hell would steal Hermione? How would they? No one knew she was bloody here!" Scabior shouted as he lightly patted Artemis's head. Artemis's cry had turned to low whimpers with a few hiccups every few minutes. Fenrir shook his head as his eyes widened. 

"I think I have some i..." Fenrir started when the door swung open to reveal Leo being chased after by Betsy. 

"I... I... I'm sorry, Alpha. He slipped from my grasp," Betsy explained while Leo ran up to Fenrir's side. Leo began to tug on Fenrir's coat. 

"Where's Mommy? Daddy, where's Mommy?" Leo asked him, his eyes starting to drip in tears. Fenrir rubbed the back of his head. He had dealt with worse conditions than this but this entire thing made him wish for any of the worse past experiences than to tell his son he had no clue where his mother was. Fenrir lightly took Leo's hand as he led him back to Betsy. 

"I'm not sure. But I will find her before you know it," Fenrir promised him as he led Leo over to Betsy, "I need you to keep an eye on Leo. Also if you could ask one of the new mothers if they can help feed Artemis until we get Hermione back." 

"Yes, Alpha," Betsy said while she reached out and took hold of Artemis into her arms. Quickly she fled with the children down stairs. Fenrir then slowly turned his head as he mumbled one phrase. 

"Let's go hunting,"
