After Cole had made a heartwarming farewell to his fallen "horsey", we all made out way to CIC, where we were greeted by Anya, Hoffman, and Chairman Prescott. They all turned their attention towards us, and Hoffman was the first to speak up.

"Good, you're all here." He said, "We recieved the data you sent us from the Hollow, and have decided that the only way forward is to follow through with sinking the city before the locusts can evacuate the Hollow. We're currently working on a plan to sink the city with a lightmass bomb, much bigger than the last one you brought down there. However, we need more time. Soliders are still down in the tunnels, and we need to evacuate everyone from Jacinto via Raven." He explained.

"Are we sure this is going to work?" I asked, "We cant sink the city for nothing. If this doesnt work, we'll have nothing, no defense."

"We've taken that into consideration, but we're certain this will work. Flooding the Hollow is our only hope at defeating the Locust once and for all. With the forces in the Hollow wiped out, our only concern will be any forces on the surface. Their numbers will be small, and easily wiped out. They'll have nowhere to go. No home to tunnel back to."

"I take it we'll be the ones taking the bomb into the Hollows then?" Marcus asked.

"Correct. Partially. Your squad will go back into the Hollows, clear a safe path to our optimal targeting location. Then, we will deliver the bomb via Raven, where it will be armed, and your squad will be escorted out before it can detonate. We've already pinpointed a location directly beneath Jacinto. Detonating the bomb there will ensure enough damage to sink the city completely." Hoffman answered.

Before we could continue with our questions, a loud explosion was heard outside, causing the whole building to shake.

"Locust forces have gotten into the city! We're under attack!" Anya exclaimed.

"Dammit!" Hoffman cursed, "Delta, come with me, we need to hold them off!"

Hoffman raced outside to the courtyard, the five of us following behind him. The courtyard was overrun with Locust forces, and Reavers filled the sky. We all took cover and began defending our ground, defending what would be our home for only a few more hours. If even the Chairman thought this to be our only option moving forward, who were we to argue. If this plan worked and wiped out all the locust, we wouldnt need Jacinto anymore. We could rebuild, start new. Life could finally return to normal. Or, at least as normal as life on Sera could get.

The battle raged on for what felt like hours, yet in reality was only a few minutes. When we thought we had gotten them all, the ground began to shake. Coming in from both ends of the street were two Brumaks, armored and firing at our troops.

"Get on the mortars, take them out before they get too close!" Hoffman exclaimed.

"(Y/n), come on!" Baird called out, setting up the first mortar.

I ran over and began setting the second one up. I quickly calculated the trajectory in my mind, aimed the mortar, and fired. I watched as the rocket launched into the air, before turning and falling down, directly onto the Brumaks face. Baird set off his, landing his shot on the others neck. Chunks of flesh fell from creatures and blood poured from the freshly made wounds. They let ear piercing screams before falling over, with enough force to shake the ground.

"Nice aim.." Baird said, nudging my arm and smiling, "Come on, we cant waste anymore time."

We made our way over to the others, where Marcus was already barking out a plan.
