"You know you could have started with that." Todoroki looks away from the Chief of Police, who is bowing to us, thanking us for stopping the Hero Killer.
Chief Tsuragamae just finished explaining to us our options for handling the situation. We four could either take credit for stopping Stain and damage our future of being Pro's or let the media believe Endeavor was the one to defeat him and leave us out of it. Either way seemed like a terrible option to me, but having the chance of my career being messed with wasn't something I was willing to let happen, and the boys agreed on this.
Once the Pro's along with the Chief of Police left the room, I had to let out the laugh I had wanted to earlier. It took all my effort to keep a straight face throughout the whole meeting, but somehow I managed. Hearing my small giggle, my classmates looked at me, puzzled.
I waved my hands in front of me, trying to calm myself down in order to speak properly, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Shoto calling the Hosu Chief of Police a mutt was too much for me to handle."
Iida just stared at me dumbfounded, and Midoriya let a smile take over his facial features. Todoroki's expression just morphed into one of more confusion than before.
"I don't know where that came from, honestly. I was frustrated." Todoroki mumbled, seeming to be lost in thought about his insult.
I let out an amused sigh, "You, my friend, have already begun to take after the best there is," I jabbed my thumb towards myself smiling brightly, "Me."
Midoriya and I laughed a little at the questionable expression on Shoto's face. Iida proceeded to chop his hand through the air, exclaiming that the insult was rather disrespectful and we are lucky he didn't punish us further for it.
Suddenly my phone began to ring. I looked at my classmates and excused myself. As I was opening the door, I answered the call.
"What's up, Sparky?" I greeted, walking aimlessly down the hospital hall.
"Where are you?" Bakugo immediately began questioning me and skipped the greetings.
"Yep, Hello to you too. I'm at a hospital in Hosu right now." I looked around for a sign with the actual name of the facility but didn't find one.
"Let me guess. You got your ass handed to you by someone during all the chaos." He snickered a little, sounding as smug as ever.
I huffed in amusement, "I'm wonderful. I know you Katsuki, you are too prideful to outright ask and show that you are worried about me."
"Tch, don't read into it, Birdgirl. I wasn't even worried." He stated before his voice turned into a barely audible mumble, "My friends would never be so weak to get beat by some low-level Nomu."
"Friends, hmm?" I was intrigued, "I like the sound of that."
"Shut up. It just means I hate you a little less than the extra's." Katsuki grumbled, obviously annoyed that I pointed out him calling me a friend.
"My, my! Katsuki has a soft spot for little old me. He said he hates me less than the rest." I sighed longingly, mocking the blonde, and I swear I could hear his anger rising. I rounded another corner and saw Midoriya hanging up on a call and walking back to the room. "I'll see you back at school, Katsuki. Don't worry about me too much."
After hanging up, I met up with Midoriya before he entered the room. He heard me approaching and turned to offer me a warm smile.
"I just got off the phone with Ochaco." He explained while looking at me as if questioning who I was on the phone with.
"Ah, I just finished speaking with Katsuki," I answered him even though he didn't verbally ask me.
His face read shock all over it before softening, "Kacchan? Was he worried?"
