All Might comes speeding back into the fight. As he collides with All For One his fist is easily caught by the masked villain. As though a punch from All Might is nothing but a slow-moving baseball waiting to be caught.
Katsuki nudges me with his elbow as a request for my attention. Our eyes meet and he smirks before addressing the remaining villains surrounding us, "Ready Takami?"
I nod, getting into a more acceptable fighting stance. All Might shouts his disapproval at us as he catches us preparing to battle. The fight is six against two. Terrible chances, but neither of us will go down without a proper fight.
Katsuki and I keep our backs to each other, protecting the other from attacks from behind. I'm at a disadvantage with my wings being put away still over the last four days. I rely on my speed and agility jumping to avoid attacks.
Katsuki begins propelling himself in the air with the assistance of his explosions. I remain on the ground trying to keep as many of them off him as I can since their goal is to grab him and run. Sweeping the lizard's legs out from under him I deliver a hard kick to the skull hoping to knock him out.
My balance and that of those around me are disrupted when sudden bursts of wind pass us by. The power of the two fighting right next to us causes goosebumps to rise all over my body. We need to get away from the two powerful men, All Might is holding back to protect Katsuki and me.
"Takami, let's fly out of here." Katsuki yells down at me as he suspends himself in the air with an explosion. He knows just as I do that All Might can't use his maximum power with us in the way.
I cringe as I lie through my teeth, "It won't work. I can't carry you. I'm not strong enough to get us out of here fast enough." It's not a complete lie, I could easily carry him but it would slow down my top speed.
A huge slab of ice springs out from behind a crumbled-up wall. It captures my attention including the League of Villains around me. I watch hopefully as I spot Iida, Kirishima, and Midoriya riding along the ice like they are skiing.
They shoot off of the ice and begin climbing up higher and further away in the sky. Kirishima juts a hand out in our direction shouting at us to come on. Katsuki quickly holds out his hands to his side ready to take off.
"We're getting out of here, Y/N. Get those wings ready," He mumbles with a victorious smirk dawning on his face.
"Go! I'm right behind you. I can quickly catch up," I force out with a smile.
The explosions that shoot him into the sky are larger than normal. My smile turns sad as I set my wings free from their confinement. It's painful as the scorched wings hit the air. They are sparsely decorated with what few feathers I have left. It's a depressing sight to look at.
I check the sky to see Katsuki clamp his hand around Kirishima's. The blonde glanced back for me, who promised to be right behind. I'm stuck on the ground with wings that can't lift my own weight. Even though the boy is far away I can see the flash of betrayal on his features.
Before they grow into a small speck in the sky I can spot Katsuki trying to wiggle from Kirishima's grip. I scoff at the dumb blonde. Don't let him go, Kirishima. Hopefully, the message was able to travel far enough for the redhead to hear, but safely say it was when shouting of another echoes back.
No! You promised! Don't break your promise! Please Y/N! The ring of Katsuki's voice comforts me.
I smile staring at the dirt below me as my eyes begin to prick with tears. I suck in a sharp breath asking the tears to stay put, but they disobey. Like a slow stream, the tears run down my cheeks.
