"Hello?" Branch called out, looking around. There was nothing around him, but darkness. "Poppy!?" he yelled, but there was no answer.

What had happened? Where was he?

He took a step forewords, suddenly feeling as light as air, floating off the ground a little.

"W... whoa..." he said, startled, as he floated in the blackness. "W... what's happening?"

He tried to get his feet back on the ground, but instead of going down, he shot up into the air.

"AHHHHH!" he screamed, soaring up into the sky.

Billions of colors lit up around him. Some of the lights forming pictures from moments in his life.

He saw the first time he met Poppy... he saw when his grandma got taken by the Bergens, hearing her screams.

"GRANDMA!" little Branch screamed in his memory, before slowly turning grey.

More memories flashed in the lights, sounds accompanying some of them.

"I can't believe you're gonna be queen one day... I can't wait to see your face when you realize the world isn't all cupcakes and rainbows."

He saw all the times he was mean to Poppy, when all she was trying to do was help...

"No!" he shouted at Poppy in the memories. "Leave me alone! Go away! I don't want you anywhere near me. I wouldn't be caught dead at your party!"

Sadly, he lowered his head, his ears drooping.

"You with the sad eyes..." he suddenly heard.

Slowly, he looked up, seeing all the the lights, showing the memory of when he sang True Colors to cheer Poppy up.

"I see your true colors. Shining through. I see your true colors. And that's why I love you."

He smiled seeing him and Poppy get their colors back, until the lights changed, showing the two of them planning their date for the next night.

"O... ok. I'll see you tomorrow night then... at 7?"

The lights changed again showing a caturbus heading right for him.

"AHHHHH!" he screamed, covering his face with his arms, as he closed his eyes in fear, but the lights went right through him.

Slowly, he opened his eyes, looking back to see the caturbus run over memory Branch, pushing him into the water.

He gasped at the sight of it, as the lights slowly changed yet again. This time... it wasn't a memory... it was the present...

Poppy sat in the restaurant, wearing a fancy dress, as she waited for Branch.

"P... Poppy?" he said, softly, reaching out towards her.

She sighed, leaning her head on her hand, getting tired of waiting.

Slowly, the lights faded, leaving Branch in the dark again.

"N... no... No! Poppy!" he cried out, but she wasn't there.

He continued flying upwards, until he flew up through the clouds, the darkness turning into light.

"W... what is happening?" he asked, quietly, as he floated above the clouds looking down at a pair of shiny, golden gate doors.

Suddenly, he began to fall back down.

"AHHHHH!" he screamed, falling back down, and landing on the clouds, face first.

Slowly, he sat up, seeing a troll in a white dress, standing in front of him.

"Hello, Branch," she said, sweetly, as she smiled down at him.

"You... you know my name?" Branch said, confused, as he stood up.
"Of course. I know all," she replied. "Follow me, please."

"N.. No," Branch said, backing away. "I... I need to get back to Poppy. She's waiting for me."

She turned back to him, seeming sad.

"You can't go back, Branch. No one goes back. It's against the rules."
"R... rules?"
"Follow me."

She started to walk again, Branch looking around, nervously before finally following.
