Branch led Peppy down into the bunker, knowing he could trust him to help keep Poppy safe. He was her father, and deserved to know the truth. Well... maybe not the whole truth... but the truth about where Poppy was.
"Ok... don't be mad... but... I kinda lied to you up there..." Branch said, once they reached the bottom floor of the bunker.
"So... you don't know where Poppy is?" Peppy asked, sadly, lowering his head, as his ears drooped.
"No, no, no. I do know where she is. That's not the thing I lied to you about," Branch said. "I told you she wasn't here... but she is."
"Why would you lie about that?" Peppy questioned, looking at Branch, confused.
"Cuz, I didn't know if it was safe up there. Anyone could've been listening."Peppy, cocked his head, slightly, looking at Branch, confused.
"Are you ok, my boy? You seem more paranoid than usual..."
"I'm fine," he assured. "Let me just go find Poppy. I'll be right back."He walked off to find Poppy, leaving Peppy behind.
"Poppy!" Branch called out. "It's ok! You can come out now!"
The little pink troll came out of a small room, looking at Branch, nervously.
"It's ok," Branch assured. "We're safe."
"Who was it?" she questioned. He smiled, grabbing her hand, gently to lead her forewords.
"Come see for yourself," he said, softly.
Finally, the two trolls reached the living room, Poppy gasping, when she saw who was there.
"Dad!" she yelled out with joy.
"Poppy!" Peppy yelled out, as well. They both ran forewords to hug each other, their eyes sparkling with tears of joy.
"Where have you been, sweetie? I was so worried about you," Peppy said, hugging his daughter tight.
