     Branch had brought Poppy to his bunker, letting her stay the night to make sure she stayed safe.

     He opened the bedroom door, slowly as to not wake her, just to check on her, and make sure she was ok.

     She was sleeping, peacefully, as Branch looked into the room. He had let her sleep in his bed, and he was going to sleep on the couch.

     Seeing she was safe, he slowly closed the door, heading to the couch to rest.

     Suddenly a sharp pain shot through his chest, as if someone was squeezing his heart, as tightly as they could.

     "Ah..." he winced in pain, as he fell to his knees, clutching his chest, as he panted heavily, barely able to breath.

     He looked down at his watch, still hanging around his neck, as the hands slowed down, almost at a complete stop

     "N... no..." he managed to say, through gritted teeth.

     "Ugh..." he groaned in pain, struggling to sit back up. "Gotta... fix it..." he panted, grabbing his watch, and winding it up.

     He tried so hard to get the watch to start back up, but he couldn't, the dial suddenly snapping off.

     His eyes widened at the sight of the broken watch.

     "No..." he whispered, panting heavily in fear.

     Another sharp pain clutched his heart, holding onto it, as he fell onto his side.

     "P... please..." he begged, crying, as he clutched his chest. "I... I can't... leave her..."

     Slowly, the watch stopped ticking, the hands freezing in place.

     The pain in Branch's chest vanished suddenly, as he slowly sat up, looking around the room.

     He took the watch in his hands, looking at it. It was frozen... but he was still there... he was still in his bunker... he was still alive! Or... so he thought...
