avoided the collision
but you captured me
and I allowed it
I let you steal love
I didn't have to give
I let you play with trust
that was already fraying
I got blurry answers
but was already blind
so you dragged me in more
because I craved clarity
the closer we became
the quicker I descended
into your existence
but neither of us noticed
that the heat of the plunge
was burning me alive
